Wouldn't argue much with that. Meninga a bit before my time though so would probably go with Newlove but the rest definitely.

Lets not start things like that. It was a pure accident.

Back on the subject. Picking a "Saints Best" gets harder the older you are. I could probably name about 5-6 players for each position, purely on being old enough to have watched them for over 50 years.

    I'd swap Freddie for Sia.

Always an interesting read, these type of threads.

The age of the poster ,or the first era of Saints always plays heavy I find.

Can't argue with any of the lineups but found myself wondering how to fit in the likes of
Sullivan and Quirk on the wings and Tosh Arkwright and Shane Cooper.

Equally I'm guilty of ignoring the like of Murphy , Van Vollenhoven and Killeen who were before my time.

Same as yourself Gerry thought Arkie would get into most teams past and present. Neil Holding says he was the best rugby player he played alongside. Many opposition saying he was one of the toughest they faced. Would have played more only for his first knee surgery was botched, never quite the same after that he used to have tidy up surgeries throughout the season.
