It’s a squad that can win this game. Obviously the only issue will be how much time they have had together to run set plays etc. Might be a bit of off the cuff stuff Sunday.

Who'd be captain? I'm guessing one of Knowles, LMS or Amor.

For the symbolism, I'd say it'll be LMS

Despite the absentees its still a nicely balanced squad all playing in there own positions. the pack still looks strong and with good games from Welsby, Dodd and Richardson it becomes a winnable game.

That squad would be 2nd in Superleague.

Can't see Peyroux playing, Holbrook pretty much confirmed it earlier in the week. I think he's been named just to add to the numbers.

I would also be surprised if Paolo played given he had a knock last week, I think they'll save him for the Semi final.

It's a great opportunity to see what some of these young lads have got, so may aswell blood them.

Reminds me of that great Shankly quote about the two great teams in the city of Liverpool:

    Liverpool & Liverpool's Reserves

I'll be honest, I backed London to win at 9/4 but I'm starting to get a feeling the young lads might just put a show on now. I suppose I'll be happy either way in that case.

It will be a good test for young Jack Welsby who had a stinker down London, I’m almost sure most of London’s tries came off his errors.

Wish this game was on Sky, should be very interesting. Your starting line up might have 9 players who have turned out for us this season.....Come on the Saints !

It's certainly got Barrie's knickers in a twist, he was apoplectic at our nerve in fielding a team that wasn't our strongest seventeen.

I thought Tony Smith was so professional and diplomatic after the game tonight when Saints team for Sunday was brought up.

The lads have put on a show every week •••• barry, enjoy your week off lads. Hope the young ens turn London over, one of my mates is getting his debut. It might not be a big game to some but to others it's massive

*Edit just watched it back on catch-up and Barry doesn't bag our decision to field that squad. In fact the full sky team are behind our decision to use the full squad and blood our youth. The only thing I don't like are those questions that they put coaches on the spot with. Fair play to Tony Smith for his replies on both the Warrington and saints squad questions. They go down the controversy route too much on sky

To be honest the league is cock eyed anyway with us all playing different teams more than twice, so nobody can point the finger at Saints in one particular fixture

Before the game, when they were discussing the other weekend games. He was saying you had to field your strongest seventeen and Clarky was telling him its not in the operational rules

It wasn't Barry, It was Brian Carney who was just asking the question for clarification and they were just discussing if it is against the rules or not (if you listen to Carney that's his job, he's lead pundit he asks the questions to the other guys and looks at the other side of the argument, he does that for all topics). Carney asked the question, Clarke gave you the answer, they weren't saying we were in the wrong. I think you're being a bit touchy or protective about them discussing us, I didn't see any knickers being twisted myself.

Barry was behind our decision, he said it was our prerogative and he praised our youth and said it's irrespective of who were playing.

It's our coaches job to make the right call for us as a team. It's up to teams at the bottom of the table to worry about themselves, if they win their games they won't be in trouble. Tony Smith was right in his interview at the end.

Those lads were sending to London aren't going there to get beat. They are going there to win.

They did have an issue with changing your 19 man squad for tactical reasons. Hiding the fact players will be playing/missing till the last minute, which we haven't done.

Barry Mc obviously doesn't want Leeds to go down and is entitled to the opinion he voiced, I don't think any one who's team was in the relegation zone would want to see an advantage for one of their rivals. But 10 points clear I think Saints are entitled to blood players and look to the future after all it is nothing new.

Not seeing the programme last night I was going on other posts Frenchman has cleared that up then.

I've always said, if you have a squad you should be able to use it no questions asked. I didn't hear what Barrie said so can't comment but it's not like Leeds wouldn't do the same thing as us. Anyway, they've been playing weakened sides all year, swapping Lunt for Parcell is hardly making a team better.
