Default England Elite Train On Squad

Tommy, Roby, Percival, Roby, Walmsley & Tommo all picked for the Elite Squad.

Now I might be a bit biased but name me a better Loose Forward this Season in Superleague better then Morgan Knowles?

Morgan is the best 13 in superleague this season end of.

Surprising to say the least, who's been picked as the loose forward/s? I know this isn't a popular view but I've always believed in club over country so I'm not really bothered anyway as it keeps him out of the shop window somewhat.

Austin qualifies for England. I wouldn’t read anything into these meet up squads, there’s always some right rubbish in there to make up the numbers for the NRL based players.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Tom Johnstone and Luke Gale included both out injured. Mcgilvary & Charnley included because their first names begin with J, especially if Jamie Shaul is at FB it looks good on the team sheet. Our Johnny, Jake`s Trueman and Connor.

Tyson Frizzel played 6 games for Wales then next world cup played for Australia? So you can change your allegiance year by year?

Anyone know if Wales, Scotland, Ireland are having a training squad get together?

As we are playing as GB, would the likes of Knowles & Grace (Wales) and Coote (Scotland) benefit from it?

I really rate Farrell, since he’s been back Wigan have won all their games (except for the one against us of course). I don’t think that is a coincidence.

Who have they played? Leeds, Hull KR, Huddersfield, Salford? 4 of the worst/most inconsistent teams this year.
I wouldn’t put those wins down to Farrell. He’s never performed for England and has been a weak link when he’s played, I’d be surprised if he was ever picked again. He may look ok for Wigan against lesser opposition, but he’s been trampled on the international stage numerous times.

Warrington have 7 players in the elite squad; Saints have 6.

Warrington have 4 players in the second-string; Saints have 3.

This proves Warrington are better than Saints. Surely it's their year.

Does anyone actually know why Jackson Hastings hasn't been picked? Am I correct in thinking that he wouldn't commit to England?

Reading between the lines of Sinfield's statement about Austin, I got that impression.

"Unlike a few other guys who would qualify to play for Great Britain later this year through their ancestry from other Home Nations, he would make himself unavailable to play any representative rugby in Australia as soon as he plays for England, because England are a Tier One nation.

That is a good indication of his commitment to joining our group, and we believe he will be a very positive addition"

Would playing for Great Britain mean Hastings could still play for Australia? Our daft eligibility rules confuse me

Farrell was the best of any of the back rows on Friday by a mile.
48 tackles - 124 metres, more than double any of the Saints three.

Those stats are consistent for him and have been over the years, unless of course you think like John Bateman he isn't big enough, strange how that one's gone very quiet on here isn't it, unless he's grown six inches and put three stone on since his move to Aus!!!

Are we counting third-man-in and flops in the tackle count then? Cool.

If you think he's big enough, good for you. The facts are that every time he's pulled on an international jersey and played either Aus or NZ, he's been utterly monstered and looked like he's an u-16's player in an open age game.

A very good SL player on his day, but there ain't many of them days left.

The stats are counted the same for all players. As for your other comment I don't agree, he's a great player, very underrated, mainly because of his size, but his work rate is phenomenal, as is Batemans and the same rubbish was spouted about him.

As others have stated he has done little on the international stage. You may think that because a played turns out for Wigan he is automatically international class the reality is Farrell isn't. He has done little in test matches when selected which shows he isn't as good as you think he is. He is a consistent good SL player but not test match standard. Brian I think you should go quiet and go back to the fantasy land that is Wigan forum and pretend all is rosy in Wiganworld

He may have got those stats, still got pumped and doesn’t mean he’s played well for England where he’s been truly a weak link getting run over and being completely ineffective. Saints have become renowned for their team work, maybe it looks like Wigan have passed the work load from Bateman to Farrell, Farrell isn’t in Bateman’s class though.

I never said Bateman was too small, he’s a class player, said it when he was here. He’s a freak and can play well above what his chicken legs say. Don’t try pass him off as one of your own though Brian, he came through Bradford hahaha. Also don’t be fooled by Radlinski saying Bateman would return after his contract finished, Bateman knew nothing about it!!!!!!
