Walmsley - Turned the game when he came on for his final spell
Bentley - Called into early action unexpectedly. Tackled like a machine and good distribution
Makinson - Just Tommy being Tommy!

    Difficult one this:

    1 Walmsley

    2 Thompson

    3 Lomax

Special mention to Makinson taking the ball up despite getting quite a few facials.

To be honest I’d have liked to pick Thompson as well. Bentley did well to slot in, in difficult circumstances.

Funny I thought Bentley struggled attacking wise at 9, I don't think it's a coincidence we scored 3 tries when Knowles went to 9.

Thought Bentley was poor too in attack. Not his fault, he just isn’t a hooker. He just seems to be unsure of the right pass a lot of the time and is hesitant which is obviously not what you want at dummy half

Seemed to go to the short side way too much as well.

His distribution was poor when Morgan Knowles want to 9 the team looked more composed an reassured.

"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." Danny Blanchflower.
Might have been written by a footballer about football - but never a truer word............
