    Default Man Of Steel voting

Are players at Saints handicapped with the voting system?

Your less likely to get MOM everyweek at Saints but if your a better player at a small club ie Jackson Hastings at Salford and Fifita at Wakey will stand out?

No way is Blake Austin better this season than Coote / Lomax & Walmsley

Saints players are certainly being held back because of the system. Because we have so many good players and so many potential try scorers and playmakers, our votes are shared out, whereas with the likes of Warrington it's a shoe in for Austin to pick up points each week. It'll be rather daft if Saints do run away with the league by a country mile (that's IF!) and we don't get a MOS. I appreciate that it's possible to be an outstanding player in a naff team, just not very likely, as your potential will be hampered by the average players around you, then you get in to fantasy land of "he's a great player if only he had good players around him" stuff. You shouldn't give out MOS on that basis.

It's a pity certain players took the p**s under the old system,a proper players vote would mean more than the system we have now.

Saints have 2 in the top 10. But 8 in the top 40, we're far more spread with regards to our points scorers.

Wire have 3 in the top 10, next for them is Charnley on 52.

As people have said if Salford win, it's usually down to Hastings, same for Fifita at Wakey.

That said Austin probably is one of the stand out players in the league so far and be a worthy winner
