I seen Royce Simmons in the Grifin a few weeks back.
My daughter who has steadfastly shown no interest in my beloved home town team, surprised me with her knowledge of the negotiations when she told me today that she saw Justin and Eamonn in a scuffle with each other in a famous Dublin hotel foyer.
She laughingly showed me the video footage .................................................. ......... Beiber & Eamonn the american rapper of F'ck it( I dont want you back) fame and it was from 18 months ago.
Mick Potter was in the Kandy Klub.
The more this Justin situation carry's on our season could get de-railed. Sort it out Eamon.
Genuinely not sure why anyone would touch the Gold Coast job. Yeah, the Gold Coast isn’t a bad place to wake up in each morning and I reckon the weather wouldn’t get as tiresome as the North West’s rain but the club itself is an absolute shambles and could well be moved elsewhere, the rumours seem to be pretty loud about a move as the Titans CEO has had to come out and say they’re not moving, their attendances are horrific, the culture at the place can’t be great and they’re lightyears away from competing for a play-off berth.
St Helens Rugby League Football Club
This is true, plus I'm not sure if big Mal is going to continue hanging around disagreeing with everything the coach does as well.
I think Holbrook by simply taking the first job available he could ruin the reputation he's building.
You're right the culture is poor at the gold coast and has been since they sacked their coach for not wanting Jarred Hayne at the club. This job is a huge risk

So I have further info from the same people who gave me the first info and you can take it as you wish.
Holbrook personally has met with reps from the Dogs twice. First time was with a board member, second time was with Hill in England a week or two ago. Both times he's made it clear he wants the job and wants the job for season 2020.
But there's two members of the Dogs board who want to give Pay every chance and that includes season 2020. Unfortunately for me, perhaps fortunately for you, those two are the "Big Two". Doesn't necessarily mean they'll get their way but don't necessarily mean they won't either. Most if not the rest of The Board plus The CEO want Pay gone, the Big Two don't, at least not yet.
Now I doubt very much he'll get The Titans gig because firstly The Titans really want Kevvie and Kevvie really wants them to ask so once someone makes the first move I think that'll be that. But even if The Titans insist on an interview process (in which case Kevvie will drop out) there's probably a few others in front of Holbrook and I doubt he really wants the job anyway. He's made it clear he wants The Dogs job and if the Big Two can't be swayed for '20 he may, probably would, back himself to grab it in '21. Even if not The Dogs job then a better option than The Titans as I'm sure one or two more NRL gigs will open up next year - Dragons probably, Knights, Sharks and Eels only a bad season away too.
But I'd say if he don't get The Dogs gig for '20, which i still think he will and so does those who should know these things, then he'll stay in SL for another year to wait for it.
But like I said in an earlier post, Titans are now forcing everybody's hand so it'll be resolved one way or the other very very soon. In fact it might be already.
On behalf of all Bulldogs supporters I hope said meetings are untrue. Dean Pay is doing a very sound job under trying conditions here and it is my understanding that he has the Boards full support to take our club to greater heights beyond 2020.
I’m thinking Holbrook either ends up at the Titans from 2020, or re-commits to you blokes. The Bulldogs should be out of the equation.
It seems a very volatile situation at the Bulldogs, if the directors are split how much backing would he get if the team had a bad run of results.
His success over here maybe perceived as a fluke and he could find himself out on his ear half way through a season.
At the moment he is on the verge of completing a successful season, but it is only one.
This current Saints team should be dominating the league for the next 2 or 3 yrs.
If he went back to Australia after that he would be in a much stronger position than he is now
Without claiming to know, I really don't think it's as dramatic as that. The "split" if you'd call it that is over Pay, it's not based on factions or personalities, it's just over whether Pay is the man for the job or not. Whatever way they go they'll get over it just like this board, all previous Dog boards and any board for anything has to do all the time.
The minute you got a board that agrees on everything, it's time to get a new board.
And if Holbrook gets himself a run of bad results at The Dogs, he'll be under as much pressure as he would be if he got a run of bad results at any other club, including St Helens. What's new there?
I take it you’ve done most of your reading on The Kennel forum. I assure you the Pay doubters are just a very vocal minority. Not representative of the majority of the fanbase. At Board level, confidence in Pay is high. I can assure you Holbrook will not be linking with us anytime soon.
Yours in league,

Go Dogs
It seems strange to me that a club would try and get someone to sign for them send someone over to England to make sure it happens in the mean time they win a couple of games and suddenly they want to keep the coach they have
Did you really say The Kennel? Whaaaaaaaaat? Mate, nobody serious takes that place seriously.
If you knew your Dog sites, and I doubt you do so I'll tell you, you'd know there's a couple of private by invitation only sites where ex Board Members going back for decades inc some of the biggest Dog names post by name, and all current board members read.
And none of them read The Kennel, inc me.
And no I'm not one of the big names - but I did get an invite!!!!
You won't.
