Yeah, I agree. He doesn't set the world on fire but does little wrong. He's a steady player.

This is the most inept and one-sided refereeing display I've seen in a while. Leeds standing about 3 yards in front of hom every tackle.

Should be about 40 up on these. They really are awful.

If we show a bit of patience in the second half we’ll absolutely kill them. They can’t live with us, but we just let them off the hook too many times in that half.

Another joke decision by Thaler in the lead-up to that Leeds try. Leeds player drops it after our guy grabs his arm, we pounce on the loose ball, Thaler totally unsighted but gives a knock on against us.

    An absolute joke.

Taia gets a swinging arm to the nose. No problem, scrum to Leeds.

Thaler is bent as they come.

We have not earned the right to the throw the ball around. We must be more patient

Thaler was definitely sympathy reffing from the 3rd minute, he was their best player by a mile. Their “try” in the second half was clearly held up, but that won’t stop the wider public claiming reffing is the only reason we’re so far ahead.

Bit of an odd game, we seemed to put the cue on the rack as soon as Percival went off, because we were trying a few things out down the left edge up until that point. Have to be a different performance next week, but I have every confidence it will be.

In other news, we are now mathematically safe and cannot finish lower than 10th

Not been that wound up during a game in a while. Thaler was a disgrace. Leeds resorted to dirtying it up. Their fans are arseholes.

But we were the masters of our own downfall. Forcing passes, taking completely the wrong option, offloading when it wasn't on.

Thought Lomax was poor. Maybe he was trying too hard, but he repeatedly made the wrong decision.

Most of the team did *ok* without being great.

Agreed Lomax didn’t seem to have his head on from the first minute.

At one point I am sure I heard Thaler say I am doing my best for you here lads but you keep cocking it up.

Never saw any injury, just heard the announcer say he was being replaced. Hope he's alright.

Anyone know how Zeb is? Took a swinging arm to the face (Thaler predictably missed it) and landed awkwardly when the Leeds defender took advantage to slam him into the ground.

Incidentally, that kid Newman is a right gobby little turd. After Briscoe took a high shot off Peyroux (tbf, Thaler missed that one as well), Newman was giving it big verbals to Saints players and in the handbags straight after tried to pile in.

I was hoping one of our lads would [legally] spark him out.

There’s a common theme developing - score a couple of early tries then overplay like mad for the rest of the game. Need to get that sorted for the big games.

poor performance part from first 10 and last 10.Too many players trying silly offloads rather than playing the full set ( I suspect our completion rate was low).

Can't understand why Gold Coast have signed Watkins. He is a shadow of his former self

Taia dislocated shoulder. Will have a scan to see how long but doesn't sound good.

Percival tight hamstring so can see him missing a game or two.

Peyroux hit his shoulder first, Thaler pointed that out to Watkins when he was having a whinge...

Never noticed Percival go off either, hopefully just a precaution at worst.

Yes I think that sums it up. Very sloppy at times.

Given how we played, to win by 26 points shows how bad that Leeds team is. We looked like we could score at will but looked like dropping the ball every set. Some below par performances and for me Amor, Ashworth and Lees needs to start contributing more, they’ve all had poor seasons so far. Solid enough win, nevertheless.
