And we’re appealing the Ashworth ban.

Was that the tackle that Ashworth led with the shoulder and Russell had to receive treatment and hence the ref gave the penalty. If it was then for me it was a borderline tackle rather than a full bloodied shoulder charge. Maybe the appeal is based on something similar.

I can't recall the tackle so I can t pass comment, however its always a confidence booster to have big jack in the team as he gives us more power and intimidation with his physique. Saints to steamroller em. I'm going for a 30 pts win

St.Helens’ @jackashworthx is free to play against @leedsrhinos on Friday after his dangerous contact charge has been downgraded from grade B to A which combined with his previous clean record means he will face a 0 match penalty notice.

I like Ashworth, very aggressive and what we need. That said, I think the game should clamp down on late shots/shoulder charges etc. On half backs. It could be used and has been used as a ploy to massively weaken the opposing side. I wouldn’t have been too disappointed if the game ban had remained.

It’s a difficult one because there are teams/players who seem to use it as a tactic to take out a player (as you mention I’d like to see it clamped down on) but we are far from the worst of it so it’d be unfair for Ashworth to cop a ban when $hithouses like Hill and Bird seem to get away with it all the time, not to mention O’Loughlin’s seemed impunity.....
Can't stop the spirits when they need you.

This life is more than just a read through.
