Sounds like he'll be back for Wigan.

Big opportunity for Smith to step up.
Will look forward to seeing how he goes.

This has been known about for a while, but I don't get why he played today and having the op next week? Why not miss the London game and have it a week early to ensure he's back in time to get some form going for the semi final?

He’ll have to defend a lot better than he did in that Salford game, think that’s going to be the real test for him. Will be interesting to see how he does.

Roby is always a loss but hopefully he’ll be fit and back to his best in July. Be good if he was back for Wigan.

If not Smith then there’s always the Knowles/Fages option. Think he might experiment with that combination in the next two games.

Instead of resting fit players today like Lomax and Coote, who both organise our defence why wasn't Roby rested today, and then he could have had treatment last week and be back a week earlier for more important games.

Not a clue, timing does seem strange but maybe they could only get him operated on this week?

Either way, the main thing is he'll be fit for the Semi.

I very much doubt that. Surely the money they pay for this kind of thing would ensure Surgery being available whenever required!

I don't think Smith will be playing a lot of games for the full 80 mins, Knowles will move to 9 for short periods especially when we need to tighten up the middle. As for Roby he's picking up loads of injuries this season, is it "father time" catching up with him now.

Roby our best player by a mile when he was on, held everything together for awhile .

But in the other games he's played in this year, his tackling and defence has been fine. Bit unfair to only base it on that Salford game when tbh a lot of players in that game missed tackles they should be nailing. But get you're point though nonetheless. Really good opportunity for him to show us what he can do with a decent run of games, alongside spells from Knowles and Bentley. Main thing though is Robes being fresh for the semi and the back end of the season when we need him.

Didn't Smith pick up a bit of a groin strain and a head knock that game and Bentley went to No 9 in the second half.

Despite scoring the winning try, Bentley had a shocker at 9 v Salford. His distribution was diabolical.

But if you want a particular surgeon, because she is the best there is, you will be in a queue.
