My memory of it is Elia had the ball tucked into his body and was diving over,Pendlebury dove in with an outstretched arm and connected with the ball and knocked it free,i don't know if he could of stretched out and scored.

One Thing I Do know. It would be a Penalty Try in this day and age.

Would it not be classed as a one on one?

Your right, but he had lots of time to swap to the other arm, it's hard to see the same happening in the modern game

Yes it was a clever tackle, and Elia probably was t expecting it, but he should and could have scored all the same

I was there I saw it with my own eyes from 125 meters away

It was my first trip to Wembley was a long trip back home. Looking at some of the highlights on youtube last night and our defence was bloody awful at times.

Whatever camp you are in, no doubting the passion, it was 32 years ago . It still seems to rankle with a few to this day myself included. COYS.

Some good stuff about the 87 Final v Halifax. I was there, my first trip to Wembley. I really thought we had won. Was gutted at the loss. Wilf George try would probably be denied now by the VR as his foot was in touch

Tempting fate I know but I have just bought tickets for the final. Is it me, or is the website a bit of a faff. Separate boxes to fill out for the credit card expiry month and year. Had me fooled for a moment - 5 questions and 6 boxes for answers

Just had notification from RL app that there is under 5000 tickets left for Bolton. So around 23,000 have been sold already.

Not a bad effort I think.

Just booked our tickets for Wembley, if you can get 15 of you together they're still doing 40% off adults tickets for group bookings if you ring up, including blocks in the Saints/Halifax end

Yes mate, a lot of behind the sticks are gone, seemingly reserved for the finalists.. but plenty availability on the corners
