    Default Sean Long

Couple of reports in the press today that Long might be going to Gloucester or possibly Wasps at the end of the season. Thoughts - keep him or wish him well?

I think he'd go. He'll want to test himself.

He isn't unfamiliar with union having played for Preston Grasshoppers & I think he was playing union for someone else recently.

Changed man now Longy. Focused, hard-working, & always looking to improve. Good luck to him

Chance for Wello to move up to assistant as part of succession planning to eventually take over from Justin.

It does give Wello a path up on the coaching ladder now doesn't, it, shame about Longy if true I think he has put a large amount of input into the team. Does this mean Holbrook has signed an extension and Longy is looking further than being an assistant.

I though Wello had lolesi’s position and him and Long were at the same level?

It may mean Holbrook has signed a new deal and wants some say on building his own team?

If Wane can get a top job in Union with seemingly little experience of the game I’m sure Long will be successful.

He was playing at Orrell along with Martin Gleeson a bit back, I'm not sure if he still is.

If you get the 5live rugby podcast with wane ( comes across very well) he's only working part time with Scotland's kids a made up job just for him.

I think when the goons gazumped the union club they had a legal obligation to provide playing facilities at the college grounds.

Will miss him I think he seems to fit in very well with JH and his set up.

A shame if true, Longy will be forever remembered as a fantastic player and a true “Son” of the club.

I wish him the best of luck!

Found him very interesting to listen to tonight and shows he will be missed. It would be great to see him do more media stuff now but I doubt he will be allowed to

I'm really pleased for Long. It wasn't that long ago that he seemed to be in a right mess and heading who knows where. He seems to have really sorted his life out and if he makes a good go of it in union he'll never be short of cash. He came across really well tonight.

I believe he leaves this weekend or next. He was out for a few drinks on his Instagram this week with some saints legends. Probably be the last we see of him for a while. Good luck and it would be nice to see him back at some point if it was the right move.

Yes, he made quite a good assessment it makes you wonder if Holbrook will miss that different viewpoint from a legend of a player.

I don't want to sell Marshall short as he is a bit of an unknown to me, but Long must leave a hole. It was really good to hear a different type of analysis, especially from that of the chuckle brothers talking about how hard each other used to hit.
