sad news warrant out for barba he fails to appear in court
Hope he's okay. Not a good thing to do, hope it's just a minor thing. I'm not condoning what he did by the way, clearly unacceptable and he has a lot to make up for. But I hope things don't go south from here, plenty of people make mistakes and one mistake doesn't need to define a person. I just hope he's got the right support and advice around him and that he's able to listen to it. I always thought going home was the worst possible move he could have made. I don't think he'd have ended up in the mess he did if he'd stayed in England.
There's more to the story as I believe his lawyer had a family emergency and couldn't fly to Townsville for the hearing. Aparently Barba has until 11am today to show up before the warrant is issued.
However there are new stories that his partner had to call the police again a few weeks ago and he wouldn't comply with the police when asked to leave the house.

I had little sympathy for him previously but non now. He's just a low life bully who once again had his partner by the throat as the police turned up 3 weeks ago.
Once again she refused to press charges though, that girl needs to get out of this toxic situation before he causes her serious injury.

Wasn’t that article just describing the original incident where he grabbed his partner? The May the 6th incident just says obstructing police. Was there more abuse involved there?
The cops were called to the house because someone rang the police concerned about the noise that was coming from the house by the sounds of things.
The police have released the bodycam footage to the press. It's a sad watch, not that I'm on his side Im totally against what he has done. It's sad to see a bloke with so much talent throw it all away like this.
Wish his Mrs and kids all the best, I hope he can sort himself out for their sake.

*Edit I didn't realize the footage was on buddy's link as well. I don't think it was earlier today when I clicked on it.
Dear God. I would say it was embarrassing but it's just tragic.
It’s not a good watch. I fear he may do something drastic. I hope he can get help as he is clearly in a bad place.
Humans are more concerned with having than being.
That is tragic and one of the most cringeworthy things I’ve ever seen. Throwing himself against the garage door and down the stairs in an effort to convince people that he was being abused by the police.
Honestly that’s grim.
Thats pretty uncomfortable to watch. He’s made a right mess of his life. I hope his girlfriend and kids are ok.
screaming in the family corner, scaring the kiddies
That video footage makes me so sad. Idolised B.B. when he was here.
There is a slightly longer video doing the rounds and that's the one I watched originally. It gets worse with him calling them racist and asking them if they have body cameras recording it. He either seems drunk, in a bad place mentally or both.
Really sad story with no winners.
Unbelievable, what a cretin! He appears to have no self control and the mental agility of a fence post. Ainsley, his partner needs to get herself and the children away from such a toxic environment.
As a believer of rehabilitation and helping those who are vulnerable, this guy really tests my beliefs and I can see why people would walk away from him.
I hope he wakes up to himself and sees how much damage he has done to himself and those around him.
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional
Quite sad really, he needs to be in a different environment which alleviates his mental agitated state, when he was with us there was no signs of any bad behaviour to anyone. I'm assuming the elderly bloke in the video was his old fella wonder if he is a bad influence. At the end of the day he needs to put his partner and kids first and not drown in his self pity, the guy needs help pretty quickly.
Great player. Grub of a bloke.
What a waste of a career.

It really is painful to watch that, especially the longer video. I remember talking to his missus shortly after they arrived. She said she wanted him to see out his career over here because he was away from bad influences.
It's such a shame to see an outstanding talented wasted. He must be kicking himself he left now. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. His missus seemed a really nice person, I feel for her and the kids.
I hope they get through this.
Professional sportsmen (and women) tend to be more aggressive and driven than the average person. It's one of the main reasons that they "make it" and forge a career in the sporting arena. Sadly too many of them can't control that aggressive nature in their off field life, Barba seems to be yet another example of this.
