Well done lad
What a great article. Well done to Saints and the RFL for organising such a league.
It's great to see such an article on the BBC but the only downside for me is that this should be on the BBC sport homepage rather than just the rugby league page. It shows community sport and disability sport in a great light and should be celebrated.
FANTASTIC!!!
Well done to all involved!!
A young friend of mine also plays in the team featured. In fact he's in one of the photos in the link. He loves it!
We can all slag off the RFL and club board members when things go pear shaped, so hats off to them (whoever is involved with this) for seemingly getting this one right.
Well done.
Just seen this via Twitter. What a brilliant, heartwarming story. All power to you young man, you're an inspiration to us all.
Top story, top article, top effort from Saints and the other clubs involved. I don't do social media but I really hope the RFL, SL and the various clubs are plastering this as far as they can.
Brilliant stuff. Well done to all involved.
Heart-warming
Lovely story and good luck to all the players in the league and at MW
"I'm walking in the footsteps of my heroes for my hometown club.
"This has been in my heart forever and ever. I love the history of this club and I added to that history when I scored the team's first hat-trick.
"I just love every minute of wearing this shirt."
Great article and the young man's attitude is fantastic.
This is a great example of the passion most fans have for their team. The article should be used by any professional coach as a reminder to any player not pulling their weight.
Sent from my keyboard using fingers.
Great story, thanks for posting ........ Although I am slightly disappointed. When I read the thread title, I clicked on it assuming that the Pie Eaters had finally gone bankrupt and been dissolved.
