The Magic Weekend always has a 50% discount for season tickets holders that's nothing new.
This will be the first one I have not gone too. Got tickets for a festival that weekend. Magic has changed to bank holiday from its normal slot.

Hmmm, Newcastle or Anfield? No contest, St James' Park everytime!

My lad and I will be going to the Magic. First time I've entered Anfield since the 2006 European Championships, when I watched Italy play Russia!

It'll be my first Magic Weekend, purely because I live in the city and it suits me, but I don't think it makes half as much sense as a location as Newcastle does.

My first magic weekend as well. I live 15 min walk from Anfield.

Would have loved to go to the Newcastle and Man City ones but just didnt work out.

People fretting about the Marathons are getting annoying. Im running the 5k on the Saturday , 1 mile fun run on the sunday and will make both days for the opening.

    I'll be going

Reports say wire have sold out thier tickets, if they have others will have, which suggests there may be more tickets sold than the neg heads are suggesting

I'm not a Scouser, although I live in Maghull. I certainly wouldn't switch allegiance

Mersey Side Saints, sounds interesting, at least we might get a new badge out of it.

If we got a small percentage of the population through the turnstiles with initiatives similar to Sundays ones in those areas we could maybe employ some coaching development offices in those areas which were cut all across the country by the RFL a few years back. We could hit say 3 times the amount of schools in the Liverpool area than we currently do with our own Community Coaches team run through Saints and go back to them on a more regular basis, we could create a small snowball effect?? We obviously wouldnt be taking over football but we could gain extra revenue. There are plenty of good sports teams in the Liverpool and Ormskirk universities too who may well have people who with some encouragement like to come along to games, reduced price at the turnstiles, spend at the kiosks and maybe buy some merchandise in the shop? This would fund our coaching development officers and more.
Agree - as an ex Ormskirk resident there was always a good group of us Saints fans. When the team trained at Edge Hill, Ormskirk I wonder what was done then to interest the Uni community ( very little i expect in those days but clubs are more aware of how to do this now).

I can't make it that weekend unfortunately.
If I can't go everyone else will have a much better time. Get your tickets booked

Almost as moronic as saying "wouldn't go to an away game as the money goes to a rival"

Oh I dunno, perhaps supporting the team? It is exactly like stating you wont go to an away game as you dont want to give money to a rival club.

I'm sure the club are gutted they dont have your support and I'm sure everyone else going is equally as devastated that you will not be there. Almost as much as they were when you went quiet on here for a small period of time

No idea why you went but it was certainly a better place without you. I'm sure we can all look forward to magic and any away game without you too

I wouldn't fret about the marathon, but it's upped hotel prices, and it will add to public transport hassle.

Anfield was a choice made without much thought. Few people wanted it there.

TV for me, and I work in Liverpool, so transport would cost me nothing.

Didn't Liverpool have a rugby league team some years ago? The Liverpool Buccaneers as I recall.
