    We played a much vaunted Catalans pack today and absolutely bounced them. These three young forwards were instrumental in this. There were others who played well, Alex was fantastic and our young backs like Welsby were also great but these lads laid the platform. Hope Smith is the next hooker in line. Great try and stopped Moa dead in his tracks. He's not had a bad game for us yet.

    Thought Big Al was tremendous, from the first bulldozing run and also some nice ball handling too.
    He relished the captain's role. He seemed to have a greater presence on the field and led by example. It must be a massive boost for all the young players on the field knowing they have someone like Walmsley to lead the way.
    I also thought Amor stepped up too.

    Watched the highlights again, Smith's try was top drawer and was something Roby would have been proud of.
