According to Lam last week, he's the best fullback in SL

And according to Clarke, Farrell would have won MOS for the past 10 years if games were a 180 minutes.

Another player developed in London, it would be so easy to name a Super League side of players from London, starting off with LMS! currently about 4 heading north for next season, I disagree with the date players can be signed and announced! one Salford players photo was released in his new clubs shirt, why can we not get one season narly over with before players sign for other clubs and it is announced for the following season.

To be fair he was just using this to make a point that he has a good engine, I wouldn't take it so seriously

He actually said he had the best engine in SL which is debatable.

Farrell is a very fit forward there is no doubt. It will be interesting to see if he fully recovers after injury. Defensively and supporting the ball carrier he is excellent. His poor go forward with the ball and lack of size prevents him being classed as top level.

I fully agree with those points. He has always had me worried with his running down the left against us. It was just Clarkes hype we were discussing and which annoyed me.

Fair enough Belgian, I think I'm the only one here who actually likes Clarke! I think he is just trying to articulate his point in an engaging way, I would find him saying Farrell is a fit athelete a little mundane but then again I don't take the extreme hype to seriously

Unless we were to lose someone like Thompson I can’t see the need for any changes.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Yeah, I'd be delighted if we went into next season with exactly the same squad.

An unusual position to be in!!

If Amor leaves as well then another prop wouldn’t do any harm in my opinion. Unless there’s another one due off the conveyor belt?

As far as I’m aware Amor is staying. He’s happy at the club and happy with being a squad player.

How do you know what size waist his shirt is?

We have not got the same squad Webbo we are losing Swift, who is very good cover as we do not lose too much pace.
In my eyes we need his type of cover in the backs.

They’ve not got Swift’s pace but we’ve got cover in the three quarters with Costello and now Simm. Kevin N played on the wing in the NRL as well.

It's difficult to have quality like Swift as cover in a salary capped sport. I don't know whether we have any wingers coming through but, with Simm and Costello coming through at centre, I imagine if there was injuries to either Grace or Makinson then Naiqama would move to the wing where he played most of his NRL career.

I agree although with uncertainty around whether Thompson might stay/go when his contract is up they may wait until then to go big on a prop if he does leave rather than getting stuck with a second rate one now.

With the re-introduction of the reserves from next season, I wonder will the likes of Amor be used as an old head in the reserve set up alongside being back up for the first team?

I'm not sure how the salary cap comes into it, as IIRC the "reserves" were removed the same season the salary cap came in. We then had various age restricted versions, with 1st team players only featuring for fitness after injury or form issues.

Amor is in form now and doing a good job. Props will usually be injured at some point in the season and Amor's experience has been useful especially when Thomo was out for 6 weeks.
