Did you get anywhere on the phone line regarding which seat you can get? Don’t really want to order online and end up in row 1!

    North stand now sold out;

    https://www.saintsrlfc.com/2019/04/1...ticket-update/

Am I right in thinking that if it had been unreserved seating that they have to withold a couple of hundred tickets from sale for safety reasons whereas with it being reserved they can sell every single seat? If that's the case assume that rules out any chance of them reverting to unreserved like they did a few years ago if the whole stand is sold out.

Tickets available now for block ES1 so that tells me we are 5000+ strong, so should be in good voice.

I believe so, I think the figure quoted was 10%, so as you say people are going to have to sit in their designated seat

Anyone else think it might kill the atmosphere having it reserved seating? The singers usually get together at the back. Extra 10% but I don't think it will add anything. It's not like the place would fill out. Should have left it unreserved and open the other stand to us earlier

Definitely. You'll get people at the back now who want to sit down

As well as the home team playing when they're told; the away teams are sitting where they're told.

Everyone just needs to be grown up about it and sit in their seat. I’ll certainly be doing that, regardless of if I like where it is or not and whether there’s someone already in it when I get there.

If everyone does that there’ll be no problems.

I agree but my concern is that when I get to my seat someone else will be in it because someone will have sat in theirs so then I will have to get the stewards involved and it might get unpleasant. Hope my fears are unfounded and everyone will sit in their designated seats.

Definitely the decision has been made and we've sold it out, it will be mayhem if half the people do what they want. There will still be an atmosphere but I think it could make it flat compared to other years. Probably the reason Wigan have decided to do it. Next time they come the TWS we should split them up in the corners of the ground and sell the east to our fans

Our chairman is correct in what he says but I would have liked the North stand half standing half seated like the new Leeds stand.

That’s what I’m concerned about too but if someone is in my seat they’ll be getting moved, hopefully amicably! If I just accept it and go and sit in someone else’s seat then I’m just moving the problem to another area of the stand.

It’s not so bad if you are on your own but if you’ve got tickets in small groups or with a family then you’d be hard pushed to find seats together.

Exactly. There’s 8 of us so we’ll be sitting in our 8 designated seats one way or another haha

Plus it doesn’t help knowing where exactly you are sitting. When I bought my tickets they couldn’t say exactly where the seats were because of the way the stand is numbered. I’ve seen a large plan of the stand but can’t work out exactly where we will be sitting.

I find it bizarre that for allocated seats you can’t pick and choose your seats online like you can at pretty much every other venue if going to watch the football, see a show etc.

Trouble is you end up with loads of odd tickets because when people can pick where they want they like a gap between them.

For concerts, football, you generally select a Block but your don't select a seat..

I canÂ’t see it being a problem. There might be the odd person who is genuinely unaware but they will just move if you explain politely. Happens now and again to us even at Saints. The only other factor is the ones who want to try it on and be with their mates etc, but we manage ok for semi finals/finals etc and itÂ’s been made clear to people when they buy their ticket that itÂ’s reserved, or it was for me anyway.

Allocated seating is absolutely the right way to do it.

Nobody has any issue with this at all in semi-finals and finals.

However, I too have a concern that a moronic element will pay this no respect tomorrow, simply because there hasn't been this situation before at Wigan.

It'll be even more of a problem for those of us that have seats at the back in the middle.

There is only one solution, and Saints and Wigan would be wise to advise that anyone found to be sat in a seat other than their own, shall first receive a warning, then be ejected from the stadium. It's the only way.

The stewards are going to have a busy day.

Not these days. Every site I have been in on for every ground allows you to pick seats now. Even Saints have this function for home games.

It's looking like a recipe for chaos, supporters drinking before turning up with minutes till the kick off and thinking they can do what they want.

Why would they think that when it's been published from when the tickets went on sale that it is allocated seating? It's not that hard to understand is it?

I bought 3 tickets on Monday from the ticket office and the only seats left were in Block 1 towards the back. Row GG.
I chose the seats from a limited number available. None of the staff could give me any idea of where we will be and the DW stadium plan tells me nothing. May need oxygen masks and a defibrillator as we are pensioners LOL
