Justin Holbrook has named his 19-man squad for the Betfred Super League Round six match vs. Huddersfield Giants at the John Smith's Stadium on Thursday (kick off 7:45pm).

The boss has made just one change to his squad with Aaron Smith retaining his place in the squad after impressing in the win over London on Friday. James Bentley drops out.

Holbrook will select his 17 from:

    1. Jonny Lomax, 2. Tommy Makinson, 3. Kevin Naiqama, 4. Mark Percival, 5. Regan Grace, 6. Theo Fages, 8. Alex Walmsley, 9. James Roby, 10. Luke Thompson, 11. Zeb Taia, 12. Joseph Paulo, 13. Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, 15. Morgan Knowles, 16. Kyle Amor, 17. Dom Peyroux, 19. Matty Lees, 20. Jack Ashworth, 21. Aaron Smith, 23. Lachlan Coote.

I’m like a broken record, but would like to see Ashworth in for Amor.
But guess it will be Ashworth and Smith misssing out.

It’ll be interesting to see what he does here after Smith’s encouraging display. I’d be surprised if he keeps him in but you never know.

I don’t think you can rule any of the 19 out with absolute certainty but it’s fair to say 15 places are nailed on and the last 2 from Amor, Ashworth, Lees and Smith.

I would leave Amor and Smith out personally.

I think considering what the conditions are likely to be I assume the bench will be loaded with props, so don’t see how Smith can be considered.

Its an interesting one with Smith his distribution speed and variety is looking pretty good, his style reminds me of Paul Groves. If he improves more he can extend the longevity of Roby, another alternative is to have Roby with spells at loose forward with less of a workload.

I don’t think Smith will feature but I was very impressed the other night. He looked very sharp I thought. I am also a big fan of Ashworth but, although he did ok against London, I’m not sure he will have done enough to force a change in the first 17 just yet

    Here here.

I expect a bench of: LMS, Lees, Amor, Paulo
That is unless Lees is still out.

I’d like to see Percy stop going from one touchline to the other. He’s not had the best of starts to the season.

Each to their own but I’m sure Holbrook would disagree with that as do I, he’s played very well so far, one of our top performers. I don’t know how you’re judging him, I can only presume you’ve not been watching the matches and are going off tries scored/try assists.

His head goes up at times and he takes the wrong options but he is a line breaker and one of our key try scorers.

It may depend if Roby is fully recovered from hi injury
Admittedly Knowles can cover for Roby but Smith may be the better option

I wouldn’t be too concerned about this, London at home was good management by Holbrook and Co.

According to JH interview if as is expected Roby players tomorrow Smith will not be on the bench. Spoke positively about Smith and that he has no problem using him as hooker when needed, but he won’t use up a space on bench for him. Makes sense as if Roby hit an issue in a game we have Knowles who can fill in.

If you see him, give him a slap and tell him he’s not welcome at Saints in June.

Amor talked about it on the radio its a tactical play executed by Percy, Makinson and Grace its intention was to pull the opposition big forwards across the defensive line and make them having to cover more ground and use up more energy in a set.

Percival at fault for both tries so far. He won’t be happy with either of those.
