Not heard that myself, but it sounds plausible.
Go to Leigh, get some game time and then back in the Saints squad when the time is right.

Makes sense if he's not getting game time.
Barring an injury to one of the halves he's not going to play any time soon.

I don’t know why we just don’t call Leigh “Saints Reserves”
Won't do any harm if its on a month by month basis, the likes of Ashworth and Richardson when needed would require some sort of match fitness and the mentality that goes along with it. We are not going to go the whole season injury free and players going stale so it makes sense to have 4 or 5 players ticking over ready to make the challenge for a shirt.
From being the the dream team last season, if he went to Leigh he would be targeted by opponents and have less time to make decisions - which isn't a bad thing as he will have to develop his game management accordingly. Regaining fitness from a disturbed pre-season and getting some match sharpness obviously would be the key thing.
‘‘This will of course split opinions and will depend who a fan favours. I like Fages but hope I I can see past that as I still think ATM he is the right player for us. I like DR but I do think he was comfortable and (I could be wrong) thought he had this position sown up. In the long run it will either make him hungry or he could throw the teddy out. I hope not.
Interchanges have influenced it I think as has been said. I do agree with some saying the interchanges are stifling opportunities for players in certain positions. I also think we think a loan spell is a ‘down the pecking order sort of thing’. But if we had a reserve grade we would probably not think that. In some ways his loan spell might be more beneficial for him than a reserve grade. Time will tell.
Humans are more concerned with having than being.
To be honest, I’m more than happy to see Fages have a run there. I think he’s looked better at first receiver than anywhere else he’s played for us and I think he’s a different player at scrum half. He’s made a couple of poor decisions but the more he plays, the better he’ll get, he’s had a hand in the majority of tries we’ve scored and he’s prepared to get stuck in and put his body in front when he’s defending. He’s willing to take the ball to the line and take a smack as well.
I saw an interview recently with Longy and he was saying how easy he is to coach, how hard he works etc. I think he’s done his job well and allows Coote, Roby, Jonny etc to do theirs.

I think Fages will be hard to shift at the moment, unless we have injuries. Does anyone know: If we loan him for month and then suffer an injury to Fages, can we recall him, or are we committed to the month.
DR will have a problem if Theo improves his kicking game long term. But I think that Danny will come back in when the pitches are firmer.
Learned comment from The Don
He isn't allowed to play for Saints in that 28 day loan period.

A very good document that answers lots of questions.
Holbrook says, he isn't going for a month, it's week to week.

Liked by Danny Richardson (i'm assuming it's a relative I don't know). Wonder what it's about
