Bring him back home and take the 2pt fine?
Bring him back home and take the 2pt fine?
I don't know why some posters are bringing up Hardaker and Wigan, Barba has done similar things in the past and we still signed him, "people in glass houses" springs to mind.
I'm not for one second condoning what he has done, he needs help off the field for his and his family's sake, however on the field he was great for us. If we could bring him back on a reduced contract would anyone want us to turn that down? I wouldn't
Surprised the press over here haven't picked up on the RL. MOS angle. I'm sure they will. How I wish Roby had won it.
Can I change my name?
Perhaps you should read the post before asking.
My reference to Hardaker was about someone else is always to blame and Barba is of a similar mindset. If they both took responsibility for their actions they might just stop finding themselves in situations.

What an absolute fool , a few years left in him , but not enough time to amount a few Bob to look after his family with a good pension pot , be working in a bar in 10 years , everyone looking at his predicament MUST be dissapointed.
roy litherland it's happened i told you it would
If there was a way for us to sign him we’d be stupid to turn down the chance but I think we’d have to get rid of a few for it to happen. Wouldn’t at all be surprised to see Wire apply for dispensation for Brown and find a way to sign him. It’s sad really because that’s surely his NRL career over for certain this time. I’d love him back though.

Saying all the right words, then he falls off again.
Such a waste of talent.
Phil Vievers...Balls...Joan Collins...Try...Orgasmic... RH the living legend.
I can’t see another club touching him now. What a waste.
screaming in the family corner, scaring the kiddies
Calling some one who (allegedly) assaulted his wife a scum bag is over the top?
It was clear that even without "misbehaving" at Saints that Ben was a disruptive influence on the team. His drop in form and search for a new club last year did seem to be the catalyst for our drop in form. In the end you want a star player to improve your chances of winning things not reduce them. He has done that with us and it is now hard to see the Cowboys being a better team than the one that finished 14th last year.
Why is anyone going to give him a lot of money to make things worse.
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.
It mentions the Epic Bender Crew here and a quote from Barba, '"Absolutely, the spotlight got to me, and I won't shy away from that. I lost track of who I was and what I was," Barba said at the time. "I did let it go."'*

*'What a waste', to quote an Ian Dury song. Though maybe The Libertines song 'What a waster' is more appropriate.
Epic Bender Crew.
*cringe*
I’ve heard his missus said “I love casinos” but with the noise of the pokies Barba heard “I love Genos” and thought she was moaning about missing S’tellins again*
*this may not be true

What a prat. He knew he was in the last chance saloon and then does this. He deserves everything he gets. Apparently giving it the 'do you know who I am?' to the security too.
Feel for his family. No excuse for domestic violence.
He'll get another gig somewhere because on the field he's world class and it's worth the risk. You just dont know how long it'll last.

Well he's managed to do what RL rarely does. Make it into the sports headlines of the BBC lunchtime news. Typical.
