wonder if it's the same as i've heard?
Can someone tell me what everyone else has heard then? I was about to ask what was going on. Holbrook had previously never shown anything but utter faith in Danny Richardson, so I always found Fages being promoted above him odd. It was especially odd as this time last year we were all talking about how Holbrook doesn't rate Fages as being good enough to play 6, then suddenly he's the favourite 7.
Ooh, what is this alleged issue? If someone wants to let me know, PM’s will be appreciated.

Yep, someone PM me too...
Still in Newport....still no nearer home.........
Its fairly straightforward, Richardson hadn't recovered from his injuries last season and was well behind schedule, its possible Fages saw that as an opportunity and trained the house down to impress for selection. I mentioned a while ago that Fages was messed about last season and I'm glad to see that Holbrook has given him the chance to challenge for that starting 13 spot, competitiveness for a place is a really good positive in my book.

Read into that what you will. Whether it's about his move to Leigh or this 'incident'.
So i presume this means Percival will kick for the season then. Going betfred and having a interest on him to be regular season top point scorer at 6/1
Fages has been badly misused since signing for the Saints. He had the misfortune to play under KC whose idea of a half back was John Wilkin. Holbrook was naive enough to overlook him last season as DR mania was running high. He has got his chance because of the poor form at the end of last term and and a disrupted pre season by DR. With Lomax playing as good as any other 6 in the game and a reasonable back line he has the chance to prove his doubters wrong, there will be no excuses for failure. Two games in he has hardly put a foot wrong and I for one am happy to see him as the preferred 7 at the present.
More people on this site seem to know what’s going on at Saints than the Board, Coaching Staff, and Players do.
It wouldn't surprise me to think that Holbrook has had a chat to all 3 of them together in Lomax/Richardson and Fages about competing for a position. With our new overseas players mentioning how good Fages is in pre season it probably means Fages is far more ready than the other 2, in my opinion Richardson is going nowhere, last year was his debut full season and there is a lot of improvement in him which Holbrook will develop.
I think Fages contract is up at the end of the season, if he’s going to become a mainstay of the side the club will have to start contract talks.
