Humans are more concerned with having than being.
Ouch. Season over before it’s even started you’d think. Awful luck
Gale and cas have had some terrible luck these past few years.
Wish him all the best with his recovery.
Reading on the cas forum this morning, they are saying Roberts and Ellis won't start the season either? Could be a tough start for them
Ellis out for four months not sure what's wrong with Ben Roberts rotten look for gale big pressure on young trueman and whoever plays with him might be mcshane
Hard luck that. Always have to wonder if he will get back to his old self having played so little rugby for such a long time.
Tough luck on the lad, hope he recovers quickly and fully.
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional
Terrible luck for Gale the past couple of years. Maybe hard to come back at 31 after virtually 2 years.
Hope he recovers.
I like LG bad news for him, are they now in the market for a new half back?n
Terrible news for the bloke. Has he done much since his appendix op?
screaming in the family corner, scaring the kiddies
I don’t want him gone either but, understandably, he will want a nailed on first team spot and I don’t see that happening with Saints this season. Utility maybe but unless things change that’s all he’s going to be. There’s no way he is better than Gale but maybe Powell will take Theo on loan?
Obviously we still have to pay his wage and he would be the highest earner I'm not sure if he comes off the salary cap now or not for next season
I like Fages but I think he is saddled with the problem of not being properly suited to any one position; he's not physical enough for the defensive rigours of playing 9 and he's not creative or cool-headed enough to be a really good half-back. It's a shame, as he's talented, but I suspect that once we have viable youngsters in the halves/hooker area he'll probably be let go. It wouldn't make sense to move him on now, though, as we are short of back up in those areas.
Back on topic, what horrific luck for Gale. At least people do seem to recover from Achilles injuries these days better than they used to, so hopefully he'll be back in good shape next year.
I really feel for Gale
Rotten luck. He must be tearing his hair out.
