He's a lucky boy to be given another chance.
Hope he can manage to sort himself out.

Some people can really turn their lives round after going through something like he has. Unfortunately I don’t believe that he is intelligent enough to make that change. He will quickly return to his old mates and will soon be back inside
He could have gone on to greater things if his head was screwed on right, lets hope "doing the time" has made him realise its now the last chance saloon to do something right.
Even with sad examples like Moore to be held up, dimwits like Zak H still persist in being morons.
It will be a tough ask for Scott to get back to some sort of decent level. One thing about him is that he can tackle well above his weight that's for sure. Can only hope he has tuned the corner.

I was always taught to respect my elders,
but it keeps getting harder to find one!
I am a nobody, and nobody is perfect;
therefore I am perfect

Its a shame how some people waste talent , I think he is still the youngest to score a try in Rugby League Super League.
When people talk about him and the supposed massive potential he wasted, I don’t really see it. For me he never actually looked that good. People raved about him when he first played that night at Wigan, because of his age and he was this exciting young half back that nobody knew about, but for me I could probably count on one hand the amount of good games he had for us. Never seen what all the fuss was about.
NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS
I agree that he was very, very average as a halfback. I thought he peaked as a player just before he left us, when he was playing hooker or backrow in a truly terrible team (From memory). His tackling was superb for a brief spell with us and he could have been an outstanding modern hooker.
Nathan Brown had him playing hooker very well at Huddersfield, even managed to get into the dream team. From memory I think when he was at Saints we had Eastmond and Wheeler at the time the next future half backs at the club and perhaps we took our eye off the ball with Scott Moore.
As a hooker, I always felt he lacked that bullet like pass off the floor which you need in that position, little bit too ponderous for me. I think a high quality 9 needs to have that pass off both hands over any distance. You can arguably get away with it if you’ve got lightning speed but not sure he quite had that either.
Had he been playing now, I think he’d have done a good job as a 13. He’s got that 5’9, stocky build and he never lacked ball playing as such but the loose forward at that time was very much a 3rd prop role. He also played in a team that suffered horrendously with injuries off memory.
Doesn’t matter now though, the main thing is he’s back playing and hopefully he’s able to sort himself out and enjoy playing again.
