Hodgson must be incredible in the NRL because he’s rubbish every time he plays for England. Bateman’s had a shocker as well.

The idea that you can’t criticise someone or question their selection because of what they’ve done in the past is stupid. Bennett is the RL version of Mourinho. Not been successful for a while and negative tactics/selection. Couldn’t be more disinterested either, only in the job because it’s easy money.

What's happened to O’Loughlin? He can't manage games in SL so surely his body isn't up to Test Match football.

    O’loughlin looks knackered.

Great try from Gildart. And some folk say he’s average.

You think Hodgson has been good? You should watch more rugby league.

I agree, his tactics and selection are so negative. It's been 8 years since he won anything? The game has changed a bit since then. Some people say well he got us into a one score world cup final, but he picked a team not to lose by much with no chance of winning.

He only played the first 15 minutes then I think Thompson played the remainder 65 minutes, not sure why he didn’t come back on as good as Thompson played.

I tell you what if Gildart didn’t score that try out of nothing it would be a totally different story. One of the commentators at the end said New Zealand didn’t look like scoring in the second half, England didn’t either, clueless with the ball apart from one up rugby.

Was Shirley Temple injured or is he just to old. We are playing with 16 with him in the 17.

I was made up that Gildart scored but it was a woeful attempted tackle from the full-back.

Great effort by Gildart - his skilful step and change of pace made him beat the fullback.
Don’t forget - he was shifted positions to cover Makinsons wing.

Also great games from Thompson, Makinson and Lomax - quality throughout.

I love it when a player takes the defender in and then takes them on the outside. Lovely change of pace and acceleration. Bit of quality that. Tough game with the usual 'afters' from New Zealand. I think the ref could have penalised them far more than he did. Got to admire the tackling. I thought the pack did well.

McShane could do a better job, Roby-Clark-McShane-Hodgson in that order.

How did Thommo get on? Wasn't able to watch but how did he go against tougher opponents?

Thought he worked really hard in both attack and defence. Was unlucky with a Knock-on decision - he was on the pitch longer than usual.

He took some big shots but ran hard as always. He will play in all three tests thats for sure. I reckon he and Hill offered more than the Burgess twins

Thought the pack was good, the spine less so and the referee’s were embarrassing.

Yeah, played well, typical Thommo. Got some big shots but just went back for more and dished out a couple of his own. Also heard Lees had a good un against PNG. Players mom and praise from Baloo. Said he gave away a couple of penalties but he doesn't mind that cause he's an aggressive player.

He gave some big shots too.
I thought Tom Burgess had a good game but George Burgess didn’t look fit.

Yeh he certainly did pal. George is better naturally than Tom but as you say, he’s struggled with injury and fitness the past 3 years. Tom has probably overtaken him.
