Who knew he was available? An exciting player.

Hurrell would be an interesting one if he signs, never reached his potential, he could go one way or another. I would expect him to do well though.

They're supposedly mounting a serious bid for Sean O'Loughlin as well — he hasn't yet agreed a contract for next year.

Blimey, take away Shirley's devotion to the pie cause and he'd likely play even less. Didn't Leeds learn their lesson with Bradley 'Tampon' Clyde?

Hurrell has gone backwards at a rate of knots over the last few years and has had a truly awful year for the titans.
He picks up injuries year after year and has had some stinkers when he has played. Certainly not a player to improve their defence - Think Meli on a bad day and thats what his defence is like every week !

Coote's defence is massively better than Hurrels. He likes to shoot the line looking for a big hit, which is spectacular when it comes off, but his reading of the game is poor and more often than not he's left on no mans land tackling nobody

That tweet has got to be one of the biggest exaggerations I’ve seen. I don’t think someone with 2 try’s and 4 assists in 19 games can be described as ‘one hell of an acquisition’. Seemingly been poor for the past few years as well.

Probably be top try scorer next season in SL then.

He would be a great addition to the league.

However given how much referees love getting the cards out* his hard hitting play could get him in trouble.

I would love to see him over here.

    *with exception of the playoffs
I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

Saint Toppy is right he's been awful this year. He got completely owned by Tariq Sims early in the season after trying to be the tough guy and showed he has no bottle when it matters. Other teams targeted him after that and he was dropped for a spell.

He flatters to deceive imo, big guy but not a top player

Interesting one this. Hurrell's girlfriend is really fit, but she's a typical Aussie heat-seeker. She posts weather related Insta stories whenever it's less than stellar weather over there. I seriously can't see her settling in Leeds in Feb.

Koni's aptitude is very much linked to his attitude. He has been amazing on and off the field for Tonga- he has been a massive part in creating the whole self belief and links to the community that have been so important for Mate ma'a Tonga. At the Warriors he seemed to believe the hype and then fail to live up to it, at Titans he seemed to go through mixed periods but loved the group he was playing with. How all this pans out for Leeds and SL is anyones guess - but I do think it is an important part of signing players from NRL or even cross Pennine signings - how a player fits in and feels about their role in a team has massive impact on how they perform.

Now confirmed.. I wouldn’t be too sure about him being a marquee but he definitely has the potential to prove me wrong, will he finally reach that potential

Seems to have a good strike rate when at NZ Warriors but not effective after that, looks similar to Soliola but will he be as good, we will have to wait and see. Leeds really need quite a few quality players in my opinion at the pivotal positions.

    I'd swap him for Naiqama

Would have been an incredible signing a few seasons ago. Theses days he seems more interested in his social media / celebrity profile than his performance on the pitch. He will be the next Gelling over here - good for a laugh and entertaining but pretty average on the pitch (when hes not injured).

That said, if he can be coached back to anywhere near his best, he could be devastating against smaller outside backs.

A few ifs from me. If Leeds can get him fit and firing and if Jack Walker can learn to give him early ball, he will be devastating.

He was not the same after he was warned about his running style and had to change it. Could be a good signing, could also be a bad one.
