Didn't he fail to get Leigh promoted despite domination too? If memory serves Toronto slowed right down last season too. He seems unable to get the attacking rugby out of his side's at the back end of the year. They definitely need a change if they are to become successful

Nice move for Wilkin, he's probably got another year at that level, and no doubt it'll be an experience for him.

Certainly an improvement on their current crop

I wonder what will happen with Anthony Gelling- will he still be going to Widnes? It wouldn't surprise me if another SL side look to buy out his contract like Warrington did with Bryson Goodwin. At SL level, he can be a handful.

    Minority stake in Skolars purchased.

I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

From that article it seems a good deal. Hopefully the earlier rumours of a Skolars relocation are wide of the mark

I think I read somewhere that Gelling is going to Catalan

I think that looked like being the case for a while, but he’s committed to Widnes now, if I’m not mistaken.

He was before relegation, don't know if that is still the case.

That was the situation back in November, but I think it’s been sorted since then. He posted this a couple of weeks ago:

I could be so wrong but have heard Sonny Bill Williams is signing for Toronto! Toronto owner has said they have signed one of the top five RU players but yet to name him.

Now being reported on ‘serious about rugby’ website.

That what the media are hinting at.

After watching the Widnes game I really can't see much signs of massive support for Toronto, the stadium looked mostly empty and all the singing was coming from Widnes fans, obviously either ex pats or fans who could afford to go. Can't see the Wolfpack lasting if they fail to get in to SL this season.

It was played at Newcastle, using Thunder’s ground.

The Widnes support was coming from fans who haven’t found their way back home from last year’s Magic Weekend.

Apparently one of three 'home' games that Toronto are playing 'on the road' because of the climate over there at this time of year.
I thought that the original plan was to play all there home games later on in the year.
Will we see similar if they get into Super League? We may not get that big overseas trip if they do...Just a day out in whatever UK town is up for it!

Maybe they can use the extra games for these on the road games?

Scheduling must be almost impossible for the league !

Cripes, that explains it then! I only tuned in after ten minutes in and thought it was in Toronto as it was a home game. Apologies! I'll do my research next time!
