Can only presume injury with Roby being injured also.

    At least I hope so

How many games is this that he has missed now? Is anybody really surprised?

    Badly torn shorts probably.

He’s been unfit for ages and Holbrook has managed it really badly, the physio came on a few times last week when Barba was down and had to give the thumbs up to the sideline. As long as we get on form Barba in the semis I don’t mind him not playing for the rest of the 8’s.

Holbrook has played and played him when clearly not fit.

Confirmed in recent interview that he is over his injury niggles then promptly doesn't play.

    Something doesn't add up.

The whole thing is just bizarre. Playing him the week before the semi final when he was clearly injured and Holbrook even admitted it was a crazy decision. The only thing I can think of is he’s got an injury that he either plays through or has surgery on and that would rule him out for a long time. Even that doesn’t up add up either.

Pulled up in captains run, which obviously means he was expected to play with a knock

Good job; with Barba at full back it would be game over by now! Lomax is better with two dodgy knees and a plate in his cranium!

No doubt a fully fit fully focused Barba is one of the best attacking players in the world a real match winner but I'm still of the belief a full backs defence needs to match any attack the modern day full back requires, you've got to be able to pull off last ditch tackles and want to do it also. Lomax is a more complete full back so it is a tough one.

It’s simple for me now - either he’s injured, in which case he doesn’t play unless fully fit, or he’s been dropped through his pack of interest, in which case he should stay out of the team.

It's a shame how it's all gone a bit sour but all that matters is St Helens getting to OT and winning the GF, no individual is bigger than our club.

I'm in total agreement with you, when was the last time we saw a fully fit, fully focused Barba???

Not all that bothered if he doesn't play for us again this season, injured or not we are seeing the bad side of his temperament and for me its effecting the whole team and its the wrong time to gamble on his return to form, Lomax has took the full back shirt off him.

At least we know what we are getting with Lomax. With Barba it could be brilliance or total lack of interest. Holbrook said both Roby and BB have niggles we need to get right for the run in, after Smith's performance yesterday I wouldn't mind seeing him against Hull and giving Robes another week off.
