    Default Training times

I am off work for a couple of days and wondering what times the players are normally at Ruskin drive or the Cowley field as I would like to watch them train from a distance? And perhaps take some photos

Bloody hell, couple of days off so thinks, I know lets go and watch young men run around in shorts.

Maybe you could get some autographs too.

Don't most of us do that on match days?

Years ago, at Knowsley road, Saints used to get quite a few fans watching them train on the old training pitch.

    There's nothing unusual in it.

Didn't they have a designated "open" training session earlier this year where you could meet the players at the end?

I've never watched them train myself but there's nothing wrong with wanting to. It would probably give you a better insight into the game and how the plans constructed on the training pitch helps teams win on a Friday night

In football some clubs can get over 10k for a training session and actually have a charge / ticket to attend

I shouldn't encourage you, but that did make me giggle.

As someone who has clearly indicated that you have no interest in rugby league beyond the current heartlands, surely the prospect of watching your team train is up there with the top experiences available. While I don’t always agree with col81’s posts, at least he’s not a total nihilist like you.

On a similar note they used to get quite a few people watch them when they trained on the astro turf at boundary road in the 80's

The fact that we all have access to the players, watch them train, get autographs easily, talk to them etc makes our game what it is. It must be great watching Ronaldo etc only on tv knowing he isn't accessible these players are what make us smile. I love watching them train and warm up it's gives a insight into what we do and we are clearly doing very well.

They train at the stadium the day before a game so you’ll need to get down tomorrow if you’re heading to Cowley.

No idea of times though. I assume it varies?

Saints website said they were training at the stadium today, not much help to you now col, if you look at the clubs site and twitter it may give you times of the Captains run.

There's a two day sporting festival at Ruskin this weekend.
Maybe the preparaction for that meant Saints couldn't use it

What's the big deal I used to go to Ruskin Drive occasionally to watch them train under Potter just to find out what was going wrong.

I would think that the players are happy to see a few fans making the effort to watch them train.
