The ref had to stop the game, there were 3 or 4 of their forwards lying injured around the pitch being treated by the physio from Saints and Halifax.
It changed the game, 'Fax returned after the half time break and didn't look interested.

He hadn't committed any fouls it was just the impact of trying to tackle him.
I always said he changed the '96 challenge cup final. We were on the rack before he put a big huge hit on one of theirs ans Apollo did the same in the next tackle. It lifted the whole team.

Chris Chester wasn't it? Only Vila could do someone's knee ligaments by nutting them in the leg! He was out for ages.

I felt sorry for the I think it was Huddersfield winger in the reserves when Saints put Vila there after a break from injury , he had a go at tackling Vila first time but wasn't having it any more .

That was definitely the turning point in that game.

Talking of Apollo. Nice post on his twitter.

Today I gave my eldest boy my first @SuperLeague GrandFinal ring for his 21st. Great memories of @Saints1890 passed to the next generation. #WhenTheSaintsComeMarchingIn #ComeOnYouSaints https://t.co/VmgCJu0yBF

The dumbest thing he did was not catching the ball. The rest was a consequence of that. Can't argue that nowadays it was a red.

Agreed. I’ve switched it over now as the game has been ruined as a competitive spectacle. He’s probably ruined Leigh’s chances and his own SL career with two stupid decisions.

Agreed. He was clearly frustrated with himself and went looking to make amends. I’ll stop short of saying he intentional dropped him like he did but he was deliberately overly-aggressive.

    Lucky Leeds again...

And another game where the underdogs start well but the ref steps up to give the SL side an easy passage. It's a joke. First Toronto then Leigh get harsh red cards that effectively end the game as a contest.

That really wasn’t a harsh red when you compare it to something like the Knowles tackle vs Catalans.

I thought both reds were correct decisions but the sin binnings were a bit soft.

I dont think Dawson can have complaints about being sent off.
Calling the ref a f*****g ???? b*****d is pretty much guaranteesd to get you a red.

True but when the ref actually acts like a f*****g ???? b*****d for the match then players will get frustrated.

It's a shame as I thought Leigh had a chance last night but that red card was game over, same with Toronto the other week they were outplaying Wire. Even if the ref seemed harsh that's two games were discipline has ruined a potential ding dong game. Not a great advert for Championship clubs.
