Not sure I,m 50:50 on this one, when he did the guest pre match review in the World Cup he came across quite good, think he would be a good acquisition for the Goons replacing Wanes World of Rugby.

We did have Hanley but Edwards for me is in the Same bracket as Tomkins and Farrell

I think Edwards would make a good coach. All these posts about not having this person or that one are interesting. Each to their own opinion. Just one point though: the great Jim Sullivan came to coach Saints from.....Wigan. Prior to him Saints were also rans. He turned them into a top team and the rest, as they say, is history.

Personally, I don’t think Tomkins is good enough anymore. Farrell I would have loved as a Saint. Connolly, come home all is forgiven. Gildart? Is he better than Morgan? Morgan isn’t bad

You show me a better 21 year old centre than Gildart. Irrelevant anyway, he's not going to Saints.

I think he is a little older 23 I think and he is a bit of a p—-k at the moment but I would like to see Jake Connor at centre for Saints.

I stopped playing golf many many years ago. I've been for a walk, may go for a couple of beers later, shouldn't you be in Wakefield?

You don't know, you may have second hand information that may or may not be true but that's about it.
Obviously not to join the argument, but I absolutely agree with you about not going today. I go as many as I can bar Wakey, which I just choose not to bother with.

And boy I'm so glad I didn't today. Consign that to the dustbin and move on

To be honest I wouldn't blame you. That ground isn't good enough for the Vanarama Conference North - whatever happened to the minimum licensing requirements. Oh, I forgot... Wakefield are a Yorkshire club so it didn't matter as long as they scratched Wood's back.

No thanks, Connor is about as over-rated as they come!
Not enough pace to he a top class back, not tough enough to be a forward.
He relies on niggling and sledging to hide his lack of class.

Seriously though, I'm not too worried losing yesterday, it happens and I think we'll see a response. I also don't read too much into the lads being given a few days off, they earned it. Hopefully Friday should be a bit more straightforward.
In terms of the holiday and the loss I think short term pain for long term gain

Agreed. Nothing against tough players who get under the skin of other players (Hooper, Nickle, etc) but I can't stand cheap-shot arsewipes like Connor.

Reminds me of other gobby-but-soft players like Scott Naylor, Costin, both Tomkinses, Newton, Paddy Whack.

This thread has turned nasty quickly. All posts connected to Newton and mental health will be deleted, as they are uncalled for and potentially very offensive to anyone who has or is battling those issues.

    Keep it civilised eh!

Good player. If he's in your side you love him if he plays against you you hate him, but he can play. The thing is the opposition know he'll try to wind them up but still fall for it.
