We could do with getting Tonga and/or Fiji over for a tour.
They'll have two of their strike forwards back next year in Bromwich and Proctor. Taumololo may come back.

The young players like Levi, Nikorima and Te Marie Martin will all be a year older. You'd expect them to be better players in a years time.

I do think though, that we should be aiming for a 3-0 series win.

I don't necessarily think taking a game to Australia is the right place to take a game to but as a one-off to a developing country like Canada or the US, I think taking an International game would do more good than harm.

However, the other side of the coin is having them at rugby league venues along the M62 corridor may not attract the support anyway (Hudds and Wigan for example). On the other hand, they may get a lot of tickets sold

I'll hopefully get to 1 or 2 but the proposition of New Zealand does not whet the appetite as much as playing Australia for me. Perhaps I need to give my head a shake, I don't know

Interesting that he says there's some companies in Ireland interested in a team. It's a good plan that he sets out too, but what would the standard be like of a touring Irish team? Would it be a team exclusive to Irish lads too, similar to how PNG Hunters is?

Its causing some head scratching is this lot, with it potentially clashing with the Kiwis tour? Aaron Bower thought that the England Knights may be revived?

This is exactly why I've always said test series and four nations should be GB with the home nations playing each other. Great Britain would then be the pinnacle for all home nations players and still allow Wales,Ireland etc. to retain their best players.

It's a simple good Management issue for me. The RFL should have a long term strategy for expansion. They should pick one region that, after research, shows the most potential/promise.

All these events and extra games including internationals and Magic Weekend etc. should be used tactically to support the main strategy. For example, if the RFL decide that the Midlands is the expansion region then Magic and internationals should have a focus in the Midlands (along with a lot of other support).

Anything else is just short term random stabs in the dark. Or in other words - Amateur management by the RFL.

If The RFL formally decide not to have an expansion strategy then fine, all games like this should then be kept in house at stadia like ours.

You can't just have a random game at Anfield once in a blue moon and expect anything to come of it. These things have to be done properly or not at all.

NZ just doesn't do it the same as the Aussies. Beating NZ would be great, but if we could beat the Aussies it would be a different level. Though I'll probably get over for at least 2 of the games.

To me beating Australia is International Rugby, same as Cricket,i watch games against South Africa etc and want us to win but The Ashes is just so different,to my mind International Rugby League will explode if we beat them on a regular basis,as the Ryder Cup did.

Beating them regular, at this time we can only dream. Watch you don't get in trouble again for using other sports as a comparison.

To be fair to the RFL this time, I don't think they're looking at Anfield as an expansion project. They just want a big stadium at the western end of the heartlands.

To be fair, beating Australia regularly is probably a 'Pipe Dream' as it is their National Sport, but beating them in a World Cup Final will be for me the pinnacle of my rugby league experience,i tell my children watch the difference in our media exposure if we win the world cup,we can only hope,to be fair whatever i write certain posters will jump on me.

It's a dump of a ground not fit for purpose and there was a 9k drop in attendance over the space of a year. Grounds in London that could be filled by an RL crowd are thin on the ground.

The Olympic Stadium reminds me very much of the old Wembley size wise when you're inside, I know you could fit more in Wembley but I think the facilities are pretty good at the OS... each to their own I suppose.

Really. Try cricket. It's the only game played all over Australia.

Guess this falls under international news. Just read Saints looking to bid for hosting World Cup game/s in 2021. As good as it might be for St Helns I am not sure our ground is big enough. Or if they were successful would it be a game between two lesser nations. Personally I think the RFL etc should be more ambitious than 18,000 crowds.
