[QUOTE=RJM25R;701781]Can't LMS play at centre ?
Centre, you've got to be joking! he's not fit enough for prop let alone centre.
Anyone for LMS the crafty cockney is a versatile chap. Centre, prop, back row, underneath the arches the lad carries anything off.
Why do people think that Makinson would be capable of passing the ball when at centre when he clearly hasn't shown any such ability (or inclination) when joining the line from full back? If he is picked to replace Morgan, I'd suggest playing without a right wing and have an extra forward on the pitch.
People have been calling for Calvin Wellington to be given a shot all season and now a centre gets injured and everyone is on about moving every Tom Dick and Harry about. Why not go with
Lomax
Makinson
Wellington
Percival
Grace
You will never know how good they are until they are given a chance
I'd like Wellington to be given a proper chance too. We threw Grace in when we needed a replacement winger and it's worked out well for him. We should try the same with Wellington in my opinion. Round pegs for round holes and all that....
NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS
Wellington has played on the right in the reserves too
Agree with substituting like for like assuming we have a capable replacement. Wellington is well worth a try this Friday. Our hated rivals seem to do it quite well. I hope with Holbrook coming from a youth coaching background he will give him a chance.
Humans are more concerned with having than being.
Grace has done OK despite people that watch the reserves stating that KC had it right and that he was not ready. I haven't seen Wellington other that 2 second half's and a couple of youtube clips. But we don't have much to lose by giving him a go. Just don't want to see him get pilloried if he makes a mistake, which is inevitable. Likewise I don't want to see LMS at centre.
All for Wellington getting a game but only the coaches know if he's up to it. If not now then you wonder if it's never, given his age. I can only see Swift as an alternative, at least he'll be fighting to win his place back
Release Morgan and sign Joe Wardle, looks like he's on his way back to SL
So you'd give Swift, the guy with the worst hands in the club, more to think about?
You might guess i dont agree. I cant see how getting players to change positions regularly will benefit the team any more than playing someone out of position does.
