    Default Law interpretation

Couple of interesting things from the Wigan Wire game yesterday

    1. Why was O'Loughlin not even sin binned for the high tackle on Brown? Am I right in thinking this is the same ref who couldn't send off Amor quick enough?
    2. Why wasn't the burgess try given as a penalty try? Watch Brown slide in with his knees after the grounding?

Am I just paranoid or do these things only go against Saints?

Yes, I immediately thought the same when I saw it.

He should of been bined no doubt about it.
It wasn't a penalty try as that's a different thing. But it was a penalty after the try was scored and should of been an extra kick at goal.

Also why did he ignore the Warrington player putting his hand on his shoulder, it's zero tolerance on touching the ref.

Shirley Temple's got immunity for life. A real snide player who always gets away with it.

I thought that yesterday especially in our game, they seemed to be a lot more keen on messing around at the play of the ball.

Because Our boy Sean has a good disciplinary record. We heard it direct from the Disciplinary Committee; and even if he had been binned that 10 mins lost playing time would have been taken into account for his next offence.

Not so. If you visit the RFL website you'll see a section titled "Laws of the Game".

Not to mention McIloons shoulder charge, penalised on the field but nothing else.

I half expected to see that Brown had been charged for recklessly endangering O'Loughlin's arm with his head.
