Default Magic Weekend 2017 - Best place to sit?

    Hi folks,

I am a new poster to the forum and a relatively niave rugby league fan, so be kind ! however I am looking at buying my dad a ticket for the saturday of the magic weekend 2017. I was wondering where is the best place at SJP to watch the games from? Which stand tends to give you the best view?

Apologises for my ignorance, but any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I suppose the answer is dependent on whether your dad prefers a side view or one from behind the posts. Additionally, would he prefer to be with Saints fans?

All tickets for the allocated Saints section had gone when I booked so I got unreserved seating tickets last year for one of the stands down the side of the pitch and the view was excellent. I did end up sat next to different Wigan fans on each day which might be considered a downer for some.

The majority of Saints fans this year were in the unallocated section behind the sticks in the Gallowgate end. We've been given that end again for 2017 so imagine that'll be the best place to go if you want to be with other Saints fans. The views are excellent from that stand.

This, or the pub. I can't think of a single reason I'd want to go.

First time was bang on in my opinion and then the hotel price doubled second time around. Beats Coventry though. St James is a top stadium no bad seats really.

Correct. Been a couple of time for football. If you can manage to blag a hospitality it's well worth it.
