The good old days
At least we had a bit of biff on the pitch then to get the crowd going
Some brutal punches in there.
Who were the players involved?
I think the odd punch in retaliation for a bad tackle etc was par for the course in the past and in fact got the forwards playing with a lot more passion and the specators wound up. I feel it is part of the game which has gone quite sterile at times. Now we get attacks to the legs and the third man coming in to attack an unprotected ball player. These are far more dangerous and cowardly than the odd punch.
Thats not a bit of biff, thats a pack of idiots, the stamping and kicking prone players is cowardly
What was that Freddie Mercury impersonator up to?
Learned comment from The Don
Typical Yaaarshaar team and speccies!
I remember a National cup game in the 1980's when my team played Upton & Frickley and they had five players sent off. Post match their Neanderthal supporters were wanting to kick off in the clubhouse. The Good Old Days?..... You're avin a larf!!
