    Default #farewelljamie Jamie Lyon interview

Apologies if already posted here but there's a two part interview with Jamie in which St Helens are the main topic really.

Wasn't the greatest interview, but what a legend. Had it all, deceptively quick, glided around the pitch with seemingly little to no effort and insane ball handling and vision. Could kick to boot. Didn't break a sweat over here and still took the game by storm. Such a privilege we got to see him in the V.

He was a genuine bloke and well done to Ian Millward for getting him to come , me mate and me had seen them all but we both agreed he was the best centre we had seen.

Certainly been blessed with amazing centres over the years, have Saints. He's definitely one of the best 3 - but in my all-time XIII (since I started watching in '84) I'd have him at 6 (sorry Tommy!) so I could fit Meninga & Newlove in.

It will never, ever stop being hilarious that we signed Jamie Lyon on the sly, while Wigan beat us in a fake 'bidding war' for David Vaeliki. They tried to tell us they'd got the better deal, too.

Then we wellied them 75-0 with Lyon at the fulcrum.

    Beeeeeeautiful.
