I'd go exactly the same line up as last week but with Amor starting instead of Richards:
Lomax, Owens, Fleming, Percival, Swift, Turner, Walsh, Walmsley, Roby, Amor, LMS, Greenwood, Wilkin Subs: Vea, Richards, Thompson, Knowles.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

I agree with this. Wigan will come out all guns blazing and I'm not sure Richards could match that intensity so I'd start with Amor.

He'll stick by Richards & Owens in the starting line up. KC has shown us he is a real creature of habit and eluded early in the year to keeping a settled back 5 as long as possible.
He likes Richards, he won't be dropped.
    Guessing he'll go..

    Lomax
    Owens
    Fleming
    Percy
    Swift
    Turner
    Walsh
    Richards
    Roby
    Amor
    Greenwood
    LMS
    Wilkin

    Knowles
    Vea
    Thompson
    Walmsley

    Williams, Smith

I think Shorrocks will definitely be in the 17, been very impressive recently and is very highly thought of

    Bretherton isn't in their squad.

I'd have no arguments with that. Although after last week's selection at Huddersfield I have the feeling Owens will get the nod.

Not so much about individual selections this week, more about attitude.

Owens is not a Saints player but with no Makinson it would be difficult to drop him for Friday and Dawson or Shannon would not improve us much if at all.

I'd start Walmsley & Thompson personally , when Walmsley & Richards start together we look too slow in the middle and lack lateral movement, last couple of weeks it's worked great for us bringing Thompson & Amor on around the 20 minute mark, but I don't think we can allow Wigan to get on top of us early and dominate from the off.

I do still think we look a bit soft as a pack. Walmsley has gone a bit backwards and Amor is good but not really physical. LMS has toughened a bit and Thompson stands up. Greenwood and Richards don't seem the toughest if I am honest. It shouldn't be thugerby but against those morons it needs to be handled front foot.

Pack will be alright. They will do a job. The big problem will be quick PTB. If we can overcome the Wigan's smothering tactics at the PTB we will be ok. Got to keep the ball moving to give Roby a chance. If they nullify Roby we have a problem.

Yep I feel the same! We need another Big Beast like Mose Masoe, I know he could be lazy but in the big games he showed up and could take 3 to 4 players to take him down! Hope we do sign someone like him but maybe give more!

Was having this discussion earlier. I think I'd start with Amor and Thompson at prop with Richards off the bench. We've won the last few games with Richards starting at prop but given the nature of the game and how Wigan look to play, a bit more aggression and mobility in the middle from the off would benefit us for me. They don't necessarily have the biggest pack going but they are aggressive and push in numbers. Amor and Thompson would give us a bit of intensity in there to start with wouldn't be the worst thing in the world IMO, then bring Walmsley on to try and add another dimension.

Slightly worried about our right edge though. We've scored nearly 20 tries more than them this year despite all our injuries, recruitment problems etc on the flanks. Defensively they are pretty solid though and they'll know what's coming with our left edge. Walsh and Lomax both need big games IMO to try and spread our attack a bit. May need to adapt slightly and stay patient if we are struggling to break them down.

Really is about intensity though. Win the ruck and we'll do fine.

To be fair to Owens he looked ok at Huddersfield. If he can build some confidence he will be ok.I know it's sticking my neck out but here's hoping. We were pretty good in spells on sunday so I won't be bothered about the same team playing.
