Disturbing that we are allegedly signing Tommy Lee. If it was Daryll Clarke or Shaun Lunt it would be different.

Whatever happened to the days when Saints signed, Newlove, Goulding, Iro, Fairleigh. Gidley, Soliola etc, etc, when its nowTasi, Owens, and Lee. Shocking if true.

I'd love someone to try and justify this signing.

    The utter drizzles. The worst.

This isn't a bad signing. Roby needs another hooker to take some of the pressure off him. Problem is with a lack of other recruitment announced so far then this is completely underwhelming. Hopefully the first of a few signings to be announced.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

There's a hooker joke there to, not as disturbing as the signing of this clown though.

Worst thing is KC makes the signings and EM agrees them. Hang your heads in shame Saints cus if this signing will be to spell Roby , we'll need him back out there as soon as he comes off. #SaintsSignSalfordStar

Your crystal ball is in good working order just been told he has been given a new contract. Underwhelmingment of the highest order (if there is such a thing but with Saints the Oxford dictionary might include it)

It is a terrible signing as it reduces our available Cap space and adds nothing to the squad that we don't already have.

Like I've said for the last 2 years,I can't remember the last player we signed that had a proven good track record.Do we have any internationals in our team apart from Roby?

What happened to that academy hooker with the strange name - the one Cunningham supposedly spent a lot of time on ??

Do we have a scouting network? Any recruitment systems in place at all? Any capability to sign a player who's wanted elsewhere?

I feel like we just lurch through the season making half baked judgements about players based solely on their performances against us... then wait for their agent to contact us when they're short of offers.

How else do you explain Owens, Tasi, Peyroux and now Lee?

All I know is, we can't keep on accommodating such utter diarrhoea into our squad and expect anything better than long term stagnation.

    This one really hurts.

Jesus Christ. Some people would take anything the club did. He's not a Super League standard player, no other club would have been trying to sign him. It's an embarassment to the club and ridiculous in that we've got players like Charnock who would could do a better job for less.

Where is the clubs famous youth system now?

Amazing. Get your money on your super saints for next year. We are going to the promised land.

The brains trust are building for the future. 'I am not a fool' Cunningham, free crisps and lager Mcmanus, and CEO and respected business leader Rush are ready to take this club ever higher.

Forget the old board, they may have had irons in the fire but they signed rubbish like Newlove, Sculthorpe and Long.

This comparitively new lot have vision. Led by a man with so much modesty that hes happy to name a street after himself, we really never had it so good.

Cant wait for the tweet from the comical ali department, especially when St. Jon resigns. Hopefully the start of the end for Mr. teflon. Pathetic

I'd have a punt that the last top draw player of any real proven quality that Saints signed was Matt Gidley.

Dom Peyroux was the fans favourite. Owens was the player we were lucky to have. Tasi was an upgrade on our props. What soundbite will he give us for Lee. No doubt we'll get a hashtag too

A world class team for a world class stadium. Dream on McManus. You got the first bit right, carry on like this and you'll be selling the stadium.

Allow me to sum up the key points he'll make...

    - Tommy always impressed me when he played against us.
    - Lots of experience. "Does a job."
    - I was a 9 as a player and love working with 9s to make them better. Remember when I was a player?
    - young kids aren't ready yet (boys in the gym etc.) and they'll learn from Tommy. (these young players won't get an opportunity in the team and be released within a year but don't let that get in the way.)
    - it's a salary cap sport and we need to stop expecting to sign big names, its not how it was when I was a player and other clubs signing good players must be using dark magic.
    - remember me as a player?
    - fans can criticise the signing but people have been calling me a disgrace to the town since I was a foetus so I'm used to it.
