Strange timing, especially after the tragic news of Ronan passing this week and also announcing the signing of Symonds

And their assistant coach will be at Leigh next year. Steve Mac perhaps?

Just shows how bad we are after the hammering they gave us at Newcastle.

Both Leeds & Hudds have been awful this year and only managed 4 wins each, and both have managed to beat us

At least Davey has recognised that the team are struggling and need to take action - EMC take note !

Shows Davey has got more balls about him than E McM
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." Danny Blanchflower.

They felt it needed to be done and did it. It's quite simple when you know how. Clearly Huddersfield won't accept mediocrity but we will.

Huddersfield are heading for the middle 8s Saints could be going into the Super 8s a place off fourth, reverse the standings and I think it would have happened at Saints not Hudds

Just shows how you only need to be slightly off your game to find yourself in trouble. I can't really recall any team giving Huddersfield a proper pasting this year. They've lost most of their games by small margins. They are the best team of the bottom 4 imo

This may push saints into action!

KC will be out, they will bring Anderson in. Swap 1 failing coach for another and call it progress.

One place but probably 8-10 points off 4th and absolutely no chance of making the play offs. Am I right in thinking Saints haven't ever not made the play offs in the super league era? And for this year to be the first in such a poor standard of super league is unacceptable.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Correct. But if we had this current system in 2001, 2004 and 2013 we would have missed out those years too when we finished 5th.

That doesn't make your point about missing out on the play offs being unacceptable any less valid though.

It seems Anderson wasn't as lucky as Cunningham made him out to be. Perhaps KC should buy a lottery ticket.

Every team other than Saints is lucky according to Keiron.

Would take him in a blink. Doesn't shirk the blame and his Hudds side have pulled off big results for years. Unfortunate to have had a bad season and I guess in sport it can happen and you can lose you job. A good time for Saints to get him on the cheap, though.

I think he is worth a punt. I don't think he is one for reputations and would sort the wheat from he chaff.
    Get him onboard!
“It's been 31 years, since 1974, we last won a major (trophy and) Andrew Johns and Natty (Nathan Wood), our two oldest players were born in 1974 so it's a little bit spooky,”

There is a common trait in teams at this point in the season that they seem to sit back and wait for somebody to win the game for them. And we had too many of our players waiting for someone to win the game.”

    "winning the go-forward"

Overall he's done very well with very limited resources at Huddersfield. I wouldn't object to him at Saints.

I think a lot of him as a coach, but I think the current situation, he would struggle.

Anderson and spaceman Purtill at Saints never. No better than what we have.

Purtill was assistant to Royce Simmons and Potter before him, he left with when RS was sacked.

He was already set to join Leigh at the end of this season in an assistant role.

As previously said at least Ken Davey has acted. Us as Saints shouldn't be languishing in 5th place, we should be in top 1,2 or 3 but are having a dreadful season which us fans are having to endure poor rugby and a inept coach.
