Christ I tried watching the clip but got fed up after Balou scored a hat-trick and two apiece for Gardner and Long without York touching the ball each players try was exactly the same as their first, well drilled attack that.
On the Back foot looking for the front one.
Very good draw for us in that Leeds and Wigan have both effectively got an extra super league match each!
It's been 31 years, since 1974, we last won a major (trophy and) Andrew Johns and Natty (Nathan Wood), our two oldest players were born in 1974 so it's a little bit spooky,
There is a common trait in teams at this point in the season that they seem to sit back and wait for somebody to win the game for them. And we had too many of our players waiting for someone to win the game.
"interfacing at the ruck"
"winning the go-forward"
"i thought we won the collision"
We need to take into account that we will have been in Perpignan the Saturday before and have a trip to Hull the Friday after. While I like Sunday games, I think I'd rather opt for Friday and give us as big a rest as possible before Hull, even though we'll probably rest a few for the cup tie.
York are a very well drilled side. I actually think this is a really tough draw for us.
I just hope we can pull a win out of the bag, although Im nervous as you would expect.
Another tough assignment.
Some crackpots on this forum.
York are currently 6th in the Kingstone Press League 1, one place above Coventry Bears and just below Newcastle Thunder. They played a friendly at Hull in January and lost 62-0.
We could send 10 men out and win at a canter. Send a first team out and we may put a tonne up.
Last time I watched York at Langtree black brook almost beat them, brilliant game, but I think we are fairly safe
Great opportunity for us to give players carrying a knock a week off. Plus we're due an easier home tie after drawing Leeds, Huddersfield, Hull KR and Wigan all away in our last 4 ties!
