    Default 10 of the worst.........

Please consider the 10 horror results listed below, and then answer the question
“What fact links each of these results together?”

    5th July Bulls 50 Saints 22
    25th June Bulls 46 Saints 22
    26th Sept Bulls 40 Saints 4
    18th June Rhinos 42 Saints 20
    15th Sept Warriors 42 Saints 4
    28th Mar Broncos 40 Saints 6
    20th April Bulls 54 Saints 22
    8th Sept Warriors 48 Saints 8
    14th June Dragons 42 Saints 0
    6th July Rovers 40 Saints 10

Yes, you guessed it, in the season that each result occurred, Saints finished the season crowned as “Super League Champions”.

The only season not featured was our truly exceptional class of 2006.

So a message to all you knee jerking, panicking doubters is simple, get of the coach’s back, get off the players backs and get behind them in their quest to retain our crown. Yes, “our” crown, the one that belongs to the town, the club, the players and to us the supporters…. We are in this together, and now we need to stay together and pull together to ensure that we are at Old Trafford again in October.

Sure last night was not good, there are areas that need vast improvement but we do not become a bad side overnight. Leeds would have blown away any team in the league in that first half and they had the initial bounce of the ball with the first try that was a massive 12 points turnaround and unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the game.

We are still riddled with injuries, our halves will make a vast improvement when they have some much needed game time together and the faster grounds will suit or style now that spring is here. We must keep the faith with our rookie coach, but be assured if anybody knows what is needed and understands what our club is all about then Keiron does,

The old saying that it’s not how you start a season that’s important, its how you finish it has never been more apt.

Going back to the 10 results listed, how many of you were thinking of those horror shows when basking in the glory at Old Trafford (or Knowsley Rd for the top one when we won the inaugural completion) ? Yep, I thought so, not one of you.

Keep the faith, we’re in this together and never ever write off the Saints.

That's a very good chest beating, Gettysburg-style address; and I don't disagree in principle.

But we are allowed to say when we play badly.

Some posters on here need to realise there's nothing wrong with that.

I think most teams at some point during a season will take a beating. Even this year we've already seen Wigan and Wire suffer heavy unexpected defeats. Sometimes things can conspire against you and the harder you try the worse it seems to get. I'm not too worried about Fridays result. Having watched it back again we weren't as bad as I remembered being at the game. A few bounces and a bit of good fortune went for Leeds when on another day they could just has easily gone for us. I don't think the final scoreline reflected the match.

Yeah good point. Fans invest money , time, and emotion in the game and are entitled to opinions.

Right so you see an abysmal performance just laugh and say that's ok we'll win the Grand Final, ok will go along with that.
How many losses or abysmal performances later do you qualify being able to think hang on a minute we are going to win F**" All .

I think KC may need a bit more experience to match up to Mc Dermot, though I hope I'm wrong.
Great move by Leeds to replace McClennan a Grand Final winning coach with Mc D.

Been having a think, our losses are
Hull KR Away - where we're always garbage
    Wigan Away - last year's runner's up
Leeds Home - Top of the league.

Other than the Hull game, those defeats in themselves aren't bad results, not exactly gimmes. Think it just a lot worse because it's four out of five?

I agree i am sick of certain people on here spouting how great our pack is and we will hammer (every team we play)we have not smashed any team in the forwards this year,Hull KR beat us with no forwards,Leeds are looking to me to be the best team so far,we are as good as Wigan and Warrington,Thankfully the trophies are given out In August and October not April.

I totally agree and let's be honest, apart from Friday against Leeds we could and should have won the other 3 matches.

Only the Hull game had me livid, because I felt the fans had been cheated. Leeds on Friday was a strange one. Kes brought on Louie at Hudds and it all worked out well. Leeds on Friday it backfired on him, we found ourselves spanked in the first half. Louie came on and by god we had a dig.

I think the major problem we have is this. Percy and Lomax sustained injuries at Wakefield and since then the replacements have looked workmanlike at best and totally not ready at worst.

Charnock and Hewitt have been names often mentioned as good lads, not a sniff? that is why fans get a bit confused.
