    Default new name

Noticed a new name on the squad sheet this week - Davies (or should that be Davis, not sure). Anyone know anything about him? Where does he play? Is he promising?

2nd rower. That's as far as my knowledge on him stretches.

Olly Davies, back rower, played for GB Academy in the 2 games vs the Aussies at the end of last year. Showed up pretty well in the one I went to.

    Ok, ta for the clarification.

Once upon a time I was well up with A team rugby and even watched them away a bit when I was younger and had more spare time! I rarely if ever see the academy games these days so generally the first glimpse is when they get a runout in SL. Sure it is same for most of us.

The two Welsh lads are Calvin Wellington (centre) and Regan Grace (winger). Both got plenty of pace by all accounts. Wellington has scored 4 in 5 so far and Grace has scored 7 in 8. Promising

Sorry would have expanded more but it was time for Friday Pub Lunch. Priorities mate

Olly is a back rower who was our sole representative in last years England Academy team who drew 1-1 with the Aussies.

As others have said the Welsh boys are both backs.

Olly is an Orrell St James lad.
Played all of his amateur rugby at a year above. Was in the same team as Lewis Tierney, George Williams, Matty Gee (Salford)- Cousin of Jonny Lomax.
Class act and played loose/ SO and 2nd row.
Eddie and Stevo are true fans Just shite commentators

Eddie: “Sculthorpe wants to get on with it, Bradford counting down”.

    Stevo: “Kick and chase now!”

Eddie: “This is the last play…Long…kicks it wide to Iro. Iro to Hall, Hall is trapped, back it goes to Hoppe, over the shoulder to Hall…there is Jonkers, here is Long…and Long fancies it…Long fancies it…it’s wide to West…It’s wide to West! Dwayne West! Inside to Joynt, Joynt, JOYYYYYNT! Oh! Oh! Fantastic! They’ve won it! They’ve won it!”

Hey no worries it was a genuine thanks not a sarky one. I'm on way home from work heading for a well anticipated Friday pint myself so understand totally!!

    That's some record.
