He's featuring in their Auckland Nines squad as part of their 18. A few ex Super League players are in it too for their respective teams. Greg Eden, George Burgess, Sam Moa, Pat Richards, Josh Drinkwater, Matt King out of retirement, Antonio Kaufusi, Mike Cooper.
He had a superb GF but overall he wasn't the play I hoped he'd be.
I'm another that would have liked to see him around for another 12 months. The only back rower that could offload or break a tackle that we had
Manu was on big bucks. He gave it 100% but given the wealth of our young talent it was the right time to let him go. I am sure he could have gone on for another season but on a lower contract and for a lesser club but perhaps he wanted to go out on a high..
Good luck to him, a player that I have always rated.
I'd picked up that Greg Eden was in the Broncos squad. It'd be very interesting to see how he goes in Australia. From his time in SL, he has serious problems with the high ball. If (and it is a big if!) they can sort out that issue, he'll be some player as he's devastating in attack.
Good luck to Manu, but overall I thought he was very poor at Saints.
Manu left with a grand final winners ring - that's all anybody needs to remember!
Greg Eden is an ideal nines player, as has already been said he has the handling skills of Kevin Penny.
WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF POOR BEN FLOWER?!
Am I a glass half full type of person? Yes ! But every now and then, some bugger knocks my drink over!
