    Default Liverpool Bay TV Channel

I've only just realised that the new Liverpool Tv channel has started. I've not seen any sports news on it but if there is i think Saints should contact the channel and promote the club as much as possible to other parts of the county. It'd be good to get extra revenue from people outside the town and once they get the RL bug who knows. I also think the channel would like more sports clubs getting involved with their station. We should get JW if poss on the station because he's a good talker. We've nothing to lose and merseyside is a big area.

We could have our own programme called Pi**ing in The Wind ! The city of Liverpool is obsessed with the round ball, talk of little else and the majority don't even watch it in person.Having spent the majority of my working life in the city its fair to say most don't even realise there are 2 codes.

I understand the point but I think there is limited potential.

Have they not tried a TV station before. I have just read a book on Liverpool rugby league and even when Stanley had a good team around the mid thirties they had no core support.

It is only ever going to be a slow process. But there are a few scouse ish accents near where I sit and if we are to increase our base supporting figures we will have to look west in my opinion due to transport links and in other directions we have serious competition.Liverpools next gen team play at LP and it's a start.

Chester/Wrextum/North Wales are areas we should look at 40 mins in the car,I know loads of people who love the game and since the Crusaders went bust they don't have a team to support.

Ditto, worked there from 1961 to 1989 and still remember one night I was going straight to KR (RIP) with my red & white scarf and was stopped a couple of times and asked who Liverpool were playing. When I explained you could see their eyes glaze over.

    CONVERTED TO THE FAITH.

I normally pass though Liverpool on my way to/from the games, and stop off there for a quick pint. I'm wearing colours and I'm often asked about the game. It might just be polite conversation, but there is a small interest group there that could be nurtured.
There does also seem to be more travelling to and from the new stadium than I've noticed from our KR days. Not massive numbers, but defo more IMO.
I've no idea how many people would watch this TV channel, or what it would cost to appear on it, but it has to worth thinking about.

Remember, there is also a large student population to tap into.

That could possibly be due to the fact that there are a lot of Liverpudlian ex-pats with 'Scouse-ish' accents residing in St. Helens these days.

We all know Liverpool is a football hotbed, but the thing that really surprised me when I started working there was how many of them had a passive interest (at least) in Rugby Union, and how many simply just thought Rugby League was a load of crap.
THIS YEAR LENDING SUPPORT TO:- St. Helens RLFC, Manchester City, Celtic, Alemannia Aachen, Steps 1 to 6 Non-League Football

My point was I hear those accents in the ground so it is something that needs to be considered.

You are wrong it's not all about the round ball in Liverpool, they also think the Beatles are the only other thing in the world.
Humans are more concerned with having than being.

I too have lived and worked in Liverpool for a long time. People always ask me how Saints are doing this season, and are surprised when they find out it's a summer game nowadays.

I've been checking RedVee's web stats for 2014. 20% of visitors are from Liverpool. 17% are from St Helens...

I think as football becomes more and more expensive you may get a small number of Liverpudlians or those from the Wirral coming to the odd live game. The ones who went to grammar schools will normally hate league anyway

That list is not the be all and end all. It is the top 10 locations within the UK. I didn't bother listing the entire 1107 locations within the UK, just as I didn't bother with information such as we had 6 visits from 2 separate locations in the Falkland Islands, or that we can determine the most popular holiday destinations for Saints fans who like to log on to RedVee whilst away. Let's face it, only boring marketing nerd geeks such as yourself would find any joy from those figures.

    However, just for you:

Anywhere else in the UK - 34.26%

    And:

    Country % Sessions
    1. UK
    95.49%
    2. US
    0.60%
    3. Australia
    0.58%
    4. Spain
    0.55%
    5. Ireland
    0.34%
    6. Germany
    0.26%
    7. NZ
    0.20%
    8. (not set)
    0.19%
    9. Jersey
    0.15%
    10. Austria
    0.13%
