You can tell he doesn't like Wigan just a bit can't you. Excellent tackle!

Sean O'L does know this isn't the NFL right?

    Been some knock ons tonight

As for the original post, truth is Gardner is very good on defence and always stops the overlap. However in his early days he was dreadful on defence, Adam swift take note

Rovers could have had a couple more with better handling. Would have liked to have seen Gardner given a run at centre at some stage over the last few years, Meli seemed to do better there....all irrelevant now I suppose.

He couldnt catch a cold at one point, he must have worked hard in training because he overcame that as well. A very underated player.

Always one of my alltime favourite saints. Never the most gifted but his workrate and fight for the cause was superb

As summer comes to an end and the nights get darker and wetter, Bowen will struggle.

Wasn't he a centre at barrow before he came to us

Don't think so, think he scored a silly amount of tries there though

    Implosion there from Hull kr

Maybe one of our resident Wiganers will try and tell us Smith missed on purpose because they don't want to finish top of the league

Cheap tactic of holding the ball in the scrum from the scumbags to get an undeserved penalty. Unlucky Rovers you outplayed them.

They'd been done by it once, foolish to be caught out a second time. Wigan do it all the time, a decent coach should have identified it

I always remember the 2 seasons he suffered bad injuries. We were at a bit of a low point and in 2 games his determination to score a try, was I believe, the motivator to us winning both of those games. I'm sure his efforts lifted the whole team.

They did us twice with it too at their place. I wonder if we've now learned?

I remember reading once that at the clubs annual fancy dress party, all the players conspired to turn up dressed up as Gardner, complete with full saints kit with his number on, black wigs and rugby ball, which they proceeded to keep dropping all night. Poor ade turned up in a 70s costume or something. Funny but it could have broke many players with less character.

Typical disrespect towards an ex Saint. I suppose the draw was planned and all part of Wigan's master plan for world domination? ????

Lee, take your blinkers off. He was bloody awful. One almighty tackle did not mean a decent 80 minute game!

To be fair I didn't watch it so I shouldn't really comment

I'd worry about the deficiencies of some of your players, Hughes in particular, before picking at one of ours on loan. Ade worked hard and struggled to catch some truly awful passes.

That kick spoiled my perfect day.

Liam's (my son) 29th birthday. Then my 4th grandchild, (but 1st grandson) born just after 10 a.m. .
    Wigan U19's win at HKR
We were lucky to get the draw, so I can't complain.
