Best to ask the Wigan members of RedVee that as they made their appearance at the hive a few weeks ago.

What if he wants something else other than a pie though?
Thinking about it, I suspect they will have taken their own supplies down with them rather than risk not being able to get a meat and potato pie down there!

On a more serious note, does anybody know what the parking is like down there. Given the crowd they normally get it might not be an issue, but is there sufficient on site parking?

    Who's going on Saturday?

Not sure what it will be like this time round but it's usually one of my favourite away trips. Wasn't ideal last year but it tends to be one of our better ones in my opinion.

Try ''Moranos' near Canons Park tube.
I've never been there but it's getting good reviews, so will probably call in sometime on Saturday

Looking forward to the change of scene.

Chatting at Hull KR I heard that a good few of the Southern Saints will be meeting in the Railway pub in West Hampstead a few stops away from Canons Park on the Jubilee Line so I might head in there for starters. Its a CAMRA pub and they do grub. Rolling Stones played there in the 60's apparently!! Not sure if any of our Southern comrades can confirm the rendezvous point is still the plan?

There is a distinct lack of pubs in the local area. Relatively easy walking distance there are 5 I can find. Of these none of them are traditional type pubs, they are all converted shops. A bit further on there are some around but probably require a tube ride or 20 mins walking time.
There are a few shopping complex's near to the ground and all have some food retailers and even restaurants. For the life of me I cannot find a decent proper boozer to go to after a 5 hr coach journey. Its a scandal

10 of us are going for the weekend. For pre match drinks and bite to eat we thought we might try change of hart pub. Got decent reviews and walking distance from ground. Anyone found anything nicer/been to that pub before?

There's only one you could ask as the other 2 hardly go to Home Matches never mind 200 miles away !!!

Been speaking to my lad, who lives down south and is a Broncos fan.
As well as the local(ish) pubs mentioned, he has told me about the facilities at the Hive itself.

You can get a beer in the ground and take it to your seat.
The West stand is the main stand along the side.
There is a bit of fencing between most of it and say a quarter of it and the same exists on the concourse (only with a gate that has always been open for rugby).
This is part of the segregation required for football.

There are therefore 2 bars in the west stand for use.

The East stand is hospitality. However, the East stand bar is open all day as it is the bar for “The Hive” and is open to absolutely anybody with or without a match ticket (they pull down some blinds during the game so no you cannot just sit in there). This bar also serves food all day.

In theory Saints should be selling tickets for the away part of the West Stand (behind the railings) but the stewards pretty much let anyone sit anywhere.

    Hope that helps.

    See you there.

    Nice one mate.

Saints have sold out their allocation and so I had to ring London Broncos. The girl didn't actually know that there was a game on so I was worried about where I had been sat! West stand seems like the right one, was frightened I'd be sitting alone....

I imagine your average Bronco's fan has that fear every home game!

Dangerous mate. The ones disguised as seats are the worst.
