    Default Form your own band

Just a little tease for music lovers. If you could have a band of your own making from now and yester year, who would you have ? This is my attempt, but it proved difficult to do.

    FRONT MAN
    Billie Joe Armstrong. Green Day

    DRUMS
    Neil Peart. Rush

    BASS
    Chris Wolstenholme. Muse

    LEAD GUITAR
    Johnny Marr. The Smiths

    GUITAR
    Keith Richards. The Stones

    Drummer - Ginger Baker (Cream)

Bass - Jon Entwhistle (The Who)

Lead Guitar - Eric Clapton (Cream)

Guitar - Neil Young (Crosby, Still, Nash)

Front man - Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)

    So many options !

    Seems little 'off topic'?

I thought Neil Peart was the Rush drummer? I only know this as I used to work with someone that played drums in a band and he used to go on about Peart all the time - I'd never heard of him!

He was but trust me anyone who doesn't put John Bonham as their drummer is wrong!

He was a freak who drummers listen to and wonder how he did what he did. He was more powerful playing with his hands than most drummers using sticks!

    So my group would be:

    John Bonham

    John Entwhistle

    Eric Clapton

    Ian Gillan

    And talking about freaks..........

Why it's off topic and it seems ok. If a lion had a fight with a bear who do you think would win. And does anyone really watch 'x factor' and 'allstar mr and mrs'. Finally do you know anyone who watched that dreadful 'soccer aid' or whatever its called, did you see some off the names who played bloody hell dreadful, annoying and not funny.

    Strange thread...anyway:-

Frontman - Matt Bellamy (Muse) - incredible vocal range and also a brilliant guitar and keyboard player

    Lead Guitar - Slash

Bass - Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

Drums - John Bonham probably just edges it from Travis Barker (Blink 182)

...and just to keep it RL related, they're all crap at rugby but would probably get a run out in the halves for us.

    I'd have:

Drums - Bill Bruford (from Yes, King Crimson)

Guitar - Robert Fripp (from King Crimson)

Bass - Geddy Lee (from Rush)

    Keyboards - Brian Eno

Vocals - Thom Yorke (from Radiohead)

Ok, if this is forming your own band then seeing as my band has (last year) split after 17 1/2 years, I'm in it and our guitarist.

    Singer. ME. Bouski

    Guitarist. Dave Szczerba. Bouski.

    Guitarist. Prince.

    Bass. Dave Grohl. Foo Fighters.

    Drummer. Thomas Hedlund. Phoenix.

    Keyboards. Martin Gore. Depeche Mode.

If any can't make it then Dave Grohl or Prince in any position!
Am I a glass half full type of person? Yes ! But every now and then, some bugger knocks my drink over!

"Lots of planets have a North !"
