I'll have a think but Jeanne was an absolute classic. I loved full fathom five as a B by the stone roses, come in come out by The La's and wave of mutilation by The Pixies in acoustic. They're just off the top of my head.

Vapour trail by Ride has a great intro and outro.

Good thread but this could wreck my head for a few days!

Some great intros off the top of my head:

    Pretty Vacant - Sex Pistols
Public Image - Public Image Limited
    Seven Nation Army- White Stripes
How Soon Is Now- The Smiths
    Ghost Town - Specials

    B Sides

    The Butterfly Collector- The Jam
    These Days- Joy Division
    1963 New Order
Please Please Please Let Me Get What I want - The Smiths
Justice Tonight/Kick it Over- The Clash

To be honest with the Smiths/Moz there are many to choose from.

Tough to think of B sides off the top of my head. One that immediately springs to mind is Masterplan from Oasis.

Great intros, always loved What Difference does it Make from The Smiths which has a sensational outro also.

I agree with Div above, there are countless brilliant options from The Smiths.

They did. I don't get much chance to be as into my music as I used to be now but as soon as I saw the thread regarding B Sides, my first thought was Oasis as there were plenty that were excellent. Unfortunately, I've forgotten a lot of them. I liked Talk Tonight a lot and one called Headshrinker, clearly Pistols inspired but good tune.

Intros: The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Bowie all have plenty. Can't think of many better intros than I Wanna Be Adored and I am the Resurrection etc.

Most acts shoved garbage on B sides but there have always been bands who put quality stuff on there with some hidden gems.

The Smiths & Morrissey B sides are tremendous and the likes of The Jam and Oasis always put equally good songs on the flip side.

Didn't know that was a B side. Only know of it from The White Album. I believe Clapton played the main lead guitar on that. Great tune.

I only found this last night, quizzing and was asked who had number 1 with Ob la di.

Googled then found this! Released overseas with this as the b side.

He played part of it but wasn't credited for it on the album.

Oasis B-Sides were so good between 1994-1996/7 they released an album full of them, off the top of my head some great Oasis B-Sides; Talk Tonight, Headshrinker, Acquiesce, The Masterplan.

Album tracks? Always loved Hey Now on Morning Glory.

    Best Intro's?

Welcome to the Jungle - GnR
    New Born - Muse
I Wanna be Adored - Stone Roses
    Elephant Stone - Stone Roses
Straight to Hell - The Clash
The past was yours but the future's mine,
    You're all out of time.
