getting sort of back on topic, Mrs G and I went to the Founders Bar this morning, had a coffee and a chocolate chip muffin, Beautiful!! , can recommend it , however Mrs G was more interested in all the Saints Players wandering around, not sure if she was drooling at the Choccy muffin or the players, , they were all very happy to chat , Lomax, Louie , Dixon, and Lance gave us a wave as he went past the windows, and Mr Simmons in a deep conversation with his conditioners in a corner of the bar, you sohuld really try it, on a Sat morning its very quiet, instead of going to town centre coffee shops and relaxing there why not give your money to Saints, the prices are reasonable about the same as town centre shops.
    Pre-Match drinks?
try the George Hotel , George St
St Helens , A real Saints pub

Stupid Question Alert, but for some reason I have never thought of this before!
If you are just going in the bar for a cuppa, is the stadium car park at the front open to anyone on none match days, and if so, is there a time limit

From what I've seen the car park behind the East Stand is open to anyone using the stadium for as long as they are using it. I've used it several times.

I'll also add that it appears that anyone who parks on the roadway outside the shop / reception gets moved on pronto by Tonto the security bloke.

Yep i've used it for meetings there as well, although to be honest the Tesco car park is just as close to the main entrance.

There are also signs there that say you will be clamped and made to pay a £50 fine if you park outside the shop
KNOWSLEY ROAD 1890-2010. A part of history soon to be no more...the place that meant so much to so many people. Farewell old lady, forever in our hearts.

Who needs cladding? Looks like the French have brought the weather with them - a balmy 15 degrees in town today. Shirt sleeves and shorts on the concourse tomorrow.

how was the catering on Friday night - any better on the queuing?

also any update on the Wall of Legends and when it is going to be done. Have bought a tile or 2 and was hoping it would be up for good Friday at the latest.

On Friday they had people selling Pints from a Fosters Keg that was seperate from the main food & drink places, that looked a good idea. I was served by them in no time

Sadly that involved drinking Fosters, which is akin to drinking the urine of a Kangaroo. Only worse tasting.

I always find it's not worth having standards at sporting events when it comes to beer, if I did then i'd never get a beer.

Got served within a couple of minutes. Had a lad standing behind me moaning about the speed of the lad serving. He obviously wasn't very confident handling orders, money and change. I nearly got served a fosters instead of a Bovril!! Which was nice by the way!

I thought the queuing system in the Founders bar was excellent! Ok, it was a big queue but everyone got served properly, instead of the likes of the Stobart where it was every man/woman for themeselves! Ha

I got some snippets of info today regards the bridge lighting. What we got was for quite a large wedge of cash cheaper than what was planned to save costs. Looks splendid now so how the better option would have looked who knows.
Still a fair bit of works to do but will only be done in fair weather.

St paddy's day should be a sight to see as its been set to go all green and white. That's if the council haven't changed it.

The software has 5 settings of which the rainbow, red and white and, the green and white were programmed in. Your choice weren't mentioned as I was with the programmer today. Hoping the council chaps are up for your suggestions though.
