If you gave that bridge its real name after what it is really there for it would be called Tesco's bridge. Where does the path from the bridge go right into?

Actually the path over the bridge ENDS at Langtree Park , it goes PAST Tesco`s
so Saints Way is correct and a great name I think

So I take it you, and others, have issues with the name of the bridge, perhaps you could elucidate and we can have some discussion on that rather than focus on personalities.

What alternatives would you suggest should have been used?
I like the name of the bridge, I'm just highlighting it was her suggestion.

Other individuals were calling that person a "marketing genius".

At the end of the day it has been a great achievement by all involved, not just one face at the Council.

yes this is my point of view, LOTS of people have been involved, even back to the meeting at the UGB offices in 2000 when we asked questions about funding, planning, council involvement etc.....

Its a great community coming together, it's dissapointing that 1 or 2 people have attempted to take the limelight at the final hurdle, luckily the winning post is yet to come.

It might be dissapointing but surely we all expected the politicans to grap this opportunity?

I'm surprised that our rampant socialist MP for St.Helens South and his Butler haven't rocked up, claiming responsibility for everything from the stadium to the amount of "whoops" items in the new stadium.

Sadfish, but unfortunately that it is politics.

The town should be singing this from the rooftops but one political party takes the limelight when they were not involved from start to finish.

Well have you been across it? It was up then they dismantled half of it, now they're putting it back together. I've never seen such a piece of civil engineering just for a footbridge.

We should have had a press release when the chair of the meeting with ref to the rail terminal at Parkside was being discussed , he used his casting vote to REJECT the proposal , which could have meant upto 14,000 jobs in our area. How many of these re-employed people would/could have bought season tickets. PS he wasnt one of marie rimmers lot were/are you richard .
roy litherland it's happened i told you it would
